SICK@HOME

I'm so sick today. I caught a cold when I was in Macau. It has been cold these days and I didn't wear enough clothes... Nothing much serious, I just got running nose, sore throat and cough. Last night I saw the doctor and he just advised me to sleep more, drink more water and then gave me some medicines. I hate to take medicine but I have no choice.

I wanted to go to work today but finally I chosed to rest at home coz these medicines make me feel lethargic. I just worked on some urgent stuff at home in the morning and then slept for the whole afternoon. I don't feel better after a long sleep but I'm happy that I could laze around at home while everybody was working :D Hopefully I won't have too much work to do tomorrow!!

I like this song very much in both French and English version. The haunting melody evokes my memories wistfully. The Original French Version is Que reste-t-il de nos amours, I don't understand the French lyrics. I only know the song name Que reste-t-il means What remains of our Love. The melody is deeply touching my heart.

NAM SHAN WAI

Many people say Nam Shan Wai is very beautiful and photographers like to go there to take pics. My colleague suggested to go there to see how it is, it locates in Yuen Long and it's very far away. We should have assembled earlier at Yuen Long Western Railway but we all were late so finally it was nearly 4pm when we arrived Nam Shan Wai. We walked along the path but we all were not sure if we were on the right way. Nam Shan Wai wasn't as good as I expected. There were rivier, birds, trees and flowers but that's only what I could see LOL :D we only took few pics and didn't walk a long way coz the sun was setting and it was growing dark. I think next time we have to collect all the information before!!

TRIP TO MACAU

This is my second time to go to Macau!! We just went there for a day coz Macau is too small and we wasn't going to casino so one day is enough. When we landed there, it was nearly noon so we just headed to "RUA Santa Clara" to look for food. Someone recommended me that a little restaurant which is famous for crab congee. The Congee was really good and we also tasted Wanton noodles with shrimp dried roe. It was good!!

After lunch, we walked pass through St. Dominic's Square to The Ruins of St. Pauls. There were so many people!! Most of them are from Mainland China. We didn't stay there long, just took few pics and had a walk.


Then we took a bus to Coloane and had an afternoon tea at Andrew Stow's cafe. I had an Portuguese egg tart and a cup of hot Latte! It tasted so good!! It was so relaxing to enjoy afternoon tea, read newspaper and chichat. I think Macau people are less stressed than Hong Kongers and they are rather slow pace. May be they inherit the laziness from Portuguese :D

It was dusk already after afternoon tea. We had a walk at Avenida 5 de Outubro. It's a quiet calm place. Cologne is quite different with Macau peninsula, it's more like the Lamma Island in Hong Kong. Not crowded and not many shops.

Dinner at a Portuguese restaurant at Taipa. We had codfish cake, garlic bread, fried Portuguese sasuages with vegetables and Portuguese curry with Prawn!! Wow the Portuguess curry with Prawn is a must eat food!! So delicious!! A perfect match with the garlic bread!! Yummy :D

After dinner we went back to The Ruins of St. Pauls, took some night pics and then bought souvenirs. Then we went to Fisherman's Wharf, the rides were closed but the shops and restaurants were still opened. It's strange that there are Portugal souvenir shops though Macau was Portuguese colony. I can't see we have British souvenirs in Hong Kong LOL

INCOMPETENT MANAGER

I'm a bit sick of working in this company. Too many workloads but no rewards, also a double-faced manager and a stupid system are enough to tire me out. I didn't know a good mangement was so important. My manager isn't a good leader and she likes to shirk all responsibilities and pretend she doesn't know anything. If she likes someone, she will appreciate no matter he/she works well or not. If she doesn't like someone, she will only see his/her bad side and weakness. Too subjective!! Is it what we should learn to survive in a company? Too butter up your boss? I really hate that!!

AN OLD FRIEND

An old friend just told me he is going to get married that year. A little bit surprised coz I remember last year I saw him, he seemed didn't have plan yet. We have known for nearly 10 years and I still remember how we worked on a project in institute and I feel like it was just happened few years ago. We were still teens but soon he will be a groom!! Time runs so fast!! Oh 10 years!! I suddenly realise friends around me are in marriageable age, so we are getting to another stage of life? Oh I really don't want to grow old!!

PENGUIN + FUDGE

Yay!! A new member for my teddy bear collection! Hehee Thanks a lot!! I like it sooo much!! It's very cute and huggable!! I like the bobble hat on his hat, can I have one? LOL Wow! Vanilla Fudge! I almost forget how the fudge tastes like since I only had once before :P It's good to eat again!! :D

BLOOD DIAMOND

This film shows the cruel reality of the Diamond, I came out in some shock, wondering how many people sufferd in this world for the products many people have enjoyed. Leonardo's acting is superb, I think he deserves to win the oscar!! It wouldn't be possible if he wasn't nominated. The story is great and unpreditacble, I think the ending is excellent tho it's a bit sad. A must see film!!

SAVING PRIVATE RYAN

I'm not a big fans of War film but someone recommended me to watch it. It's really great!! The battle scenes are strong with excellent stunning visuals which made the film so realistic, also the acting is good!! What a well-meaning film!!

A NEW FRENCH TEACHER

I've changed the French class and now I have a new French teaher!! Great!! This teacher is a very funny person, his class was interesting and full of laugh!! I feel happier to be in his class and I have movitation to learn better French now LOL Before that Chinese teacher was really suck!! But this teacher likes to make fun of English people LOL May be he is a typical Frenchman who doesn't like Englishman? :D

TIME HEALS

There is a saying "Time is a great healer", I think it's quite true. Though it's a little bit difficult at the begining, if you go on your life, keep yourself busy and then time goes by, one day you look back and you will find that you walk out from it eventually. It's not as difficult as you thought. If you keep dwelling on it, you will only suffer more. Human brain isn't like a computer, you can't erase things easily but you can get over it. It's all about time!

SPRING DEER RESTAURANT

Dinner at Spring Deer Restaurant with family and relatives tonight. Aunt and uncle are going back to Toronto tomorrow so we farewell with them. It won't be too soon to see them again next time. We ordered many dishes, Peking Duck, Kung Po Chicken, Stir Fry Mixed Vegetables, Sour & Sweet Fish, Fried beancurd... I liked the Peking Duck, it was good! I think it was better that the Peking Garden Restaurant. Better food, better service and cheaper price!!

HOTPOT + MOVIE

Dinner at Little Sheep Hotpot tonight. We didn't mean to eat there but becoz of some reasons we had to fix the problem and chose the nearest Hotpot restaurant. This restaurant is famous for sliced lamb hotpot, actually I don't really like eating lamb and Mogolian style hotpot but we had no choice. I still prefer Cantonese style hotpot :D Overall it was ok, not too bad.

After dinner, we went to watch "THE HOLIDAY". Kinda holiday movie and it would be better to watch during Christmas. I'm not that into chick flicks but I think this movie is good! Quite an entertaining storyline and likable actors. It was so funny!! Jude Law is very cute :D LOL

FRENCH TEACHER

I didn't feel like taking the French lesson tonight coz I really dislike this teacher. His class was still so boring and I couldn't follow up what he said. Finally I paid to change to another class so start from next week, I will have a real French teacher!! Yay!! I don't know how the new teacher will be but at least he won't bull shit Cantonese in the class :D Hopefully he is as good as my 1st teacher!! Well I really gotta revise my French now!!

Kinda stressed out these days, got a chance to listen this album and it's good! Her soft, silky voice blends with light jazz melodies relax me a bit especially in the middle of the night.

DUN WANNA BURN OUTTA ENTHUSIASM

After 2 week holiday, my 2nd term of French lesson was started tonight. I knew there would be another teacher to teach us and I expected she/he would be a French teacher like last term but when I went into the classroom, I was so disappointed!! He is a Chinese old man!! I don't have any bias but as per my past experiences, it's better to learn foreign language from the native speaker. This teacher is native speaker but the problem is he is Chinese. He usually spoke Cantonese in the class and he explained in Cantonese. I don't like it. And obviously his teaching method isn't as good as the previous one. His class was so boring!! Oh my god!! I can't imagine how boring it will be for the coming lessons!! I can't bear!!

I really want to change another class but the schedule isn't good. But I want a French teacher!! I don't want this teacher to burn out my enthusiasm of learning French!!! A good teacher is very important!! Kinda frustrated now...

ACHING MUSCLES / X'MAS GIFT

I have aching muscles today!! I knew it!! After the long hour hiking yesterday, my lower legs are aching all over!! Really don't wanna walk especially downstairs and slopes. But I had no time to do exercise to stretch the leg muscles in the morning...

And tonight I played badminton with my colleagues coz they booked the court a week ago and I had to go. I think I haven't played badminton for 5-6 years, seems I'm still not too bad :D Not my favourite sports tho, it was fun. It would be better if my legs were fine LOL I was too lazy and painful to move!!

Yay! Got a Christmas present!! Merci beaucoup!! Je suis très heureuse!! Although Christmas is over, it's always good to receive a gift ;) I'm tempted to open to see what it is but I will be patient to wait until samedi... Heheee :D Quite heavy and thin, is it really a book? :P I'm sure I will like it!! ;)

Hiking at Yuen Tsuen Ancient Trail!! Last time I couldn't finish this trail becoz I was sick, today I'm in very good condition!! We hiked for 6 more hours!! I'm extremly tired and I feel like my legs are not mine now!!

After hiking, we went to Lao Fao Shan to eat fresh oysters. The grilled Oysters and Deep Fried Oysters tasted so fresh and good!! But I liked grilled Oysters more! It was so cheap and delicious!!

NO DOUBLE PAY?!!

My manager promised that I would have double pay but after checking bank account, I got nothing!! I asked her but she thought I got it already. Then I asked the accountant and she said only staffs who have worked for 12 months have double pay. What does it mean? I'm a little bit angry with it coz I feel like they are fooling me. It ruins my plan for this year!! My manger said she would confirm with boss but I doubt...

une bonne résolution

1. Save money and go travel at least once or twice a year
2. Speaking French fluently within 3 years, at least I can communicate with French people without any problem
3. Do something what I like without hestitation
4. Not being lazy anymore
5. Take Japanese Proficiency Test Level one and get passed
6. Learn something interesting like dancing, ice skiing, photography, saxophone or violin
7. Buy a SLR Digital Camera if I can afford
8. Learn to manage my income well, not to spend more than I earn
9. Keep Fit and healthy
10. Get my nimble fingers back and play piano as good as I did
