The 6th Day in LIVERPOOL

Took 2 hours train to Liverpool, the 1st place that I visit was the Walker Art Gallery. There are many nice paintings and statutes in the Gallery and I like those classical paintings. I think it's a must go place in Liverpool if you like arts. Then I visited the World Museum and it was ok. There are 5 floors in World Museum, each floor has different exhibition like something about space, human, bugs, dinosaur, earth, aquarium... I think the aquarium was ok but the others didn't interest me much.

There are 5 cities in Liverpool City Regions and I only had time to visit Liverpool city. I walked near by the Rivier Mersey and visited the Albert Dock, shops and Tate Liverpool. I didn't really visit Tate Liverpool coz I got out straight away when I knew it was also Modern Art like Tate Modern.

It is so relaxing to have a walk near by the river especially if you are with someone special. I don't think I can have chance to enjoy walking along the river in Hong Kong.

China Town in Liverpool isn't very big and surprisingly I couldn't see any Chinese in the China Town. China Town was so quiet and it's so different with the China Town in Toronto and Sydney.

There are few Cathedrals in Liverpool and I only got time to visit Anglican Cathedral. It is the largest Anglican Cathedral in the world and one of the great buildings of the twentieth century. St.James Mount and Gardens is adjacent to the Cathedral and I had a walk in the Gardens. There is a quiet garden and you can relax there and do anything you want under the tree.

I tried Fish and Chips in Liverpool but it wasn't traditional Fish and Chips. I don't think it was good and I don't understand why it is the most famous dish in England. Fish and Chips are too greasy for me.

I like this city very much and also I like the football team Liverpool. What a pity I didn't have chance to visit Anfield coz it is too far away from the city.

The 5th Day in MANCHESTER

I overslept this morning and it was a bit late when I arrived Manchester. I visited the Manchester Art Gallery, People's History Museum and the Museum of Science & Industry in Manchester. Those museum were ok and it didn't bother me much coz they were free entry.

The Wheel of Manchester looks like The London Eye but I like this wheel more than London eye. It made me want to have a ride on it but I didn't feel that way when I saw the London Eye.

Manchester is a big city and there were lots of people in the streets and shopping malls. I saw many people lying on the grass and enjoying the sunshine. And some people had picnic in the Park. I wanted to sit on the grass too but it was wet :P I'm not used to sit on the grass and enjoy sunshine like western people. I like sun but I don't like to get tanned!

The 4th Day LONDON+BURNLEY

Visit British Museum in the morning. It wasn't as good as I thought. I understand why it is free entry. It's ok to walk around for free but never expect too much. The most funny thing is I saw Chinese paper money, paper slaves and paper necessaries (for burning to the dead people) in the China exhibition hall. I don't understand what make British people feel so valuable to exhibit these stuffs.
-

After lunch, I had to say GOODBYE to LONDON coz I was going to take the train to the North! When I arrived Burnley it was already evening. Then I had a nice dinner and watched football game for England and Hungary. Owen wasn't very sharp in this game and I felt asleep when he was taken out :P I'm a really football fans, it's just I was too tired after a long journery from South to North :P Don't doubt my passion for football, huh?

The 3rd Day in LONDON

Woke up Early again and went to St. Paul's Catherdral in the morning. It was so windy, cold and drizzly. I couldn't stand for the cold weather so I had a hot Latte in Starbucks and planned to go somewhere indoor.

I didn't plan to go to Tate Morden coz I'm not really interested in Morden Art but it was the only indoor tourist attraction that near by St. Paul Catherdral. I walked pass through this Millennium Bridge to Tate Morden. There were some kids playing skateboards outside the Tate Modern and they did many stuns! The Artwork didn't impressive me so I didn't stay long in Tate Morden.

I took the tube to Convent Garden to see what kinda market it is. There are some shops and a little market and they were quite a lot of people to see the street shows. Many street performers earn money in this way.

Then going to Oxford Circus to look for the shops of Fred Perry and Whittard of chelsea and Burton. I couldn't get something I wanted in Fred Perry coz it was too expensive. ₤65 for a polo shirt, are they kidding? I got some tea and a wristband only.

Walk from Oxford Circus to Tottenham Court Road, I wondered Tottenham football pitch was around there or not. After that, I went to the most famous department store - Harrods. Got a cute Teddy Bear and it's so huggable!! ;)

The 2nd Day in LONDON

I woke up in the early moring and started my 2nd day trip in London. Although the hostel was including breakfast, it was self severed and the breakfast didn't look attractive, so finally I ate pancake in McDonald. After breakfast, I visited the most popular tourist attractions in London like Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, London Eye, River Thames, Tower of London, Tower Bridge...

The Big Ben doesn't look as big as I thought. But it is really impressive!

I didn't get on The London Eye coz I don't think it's worth for ₤15. So I just took few pics for it.

I thought the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace started at 11am but when I was there, it was nearly noon. Fortunately it started at 12pm and I didn't miss seeing it!!

After eating something, I visited Tower of London and Tower Bridge. The weather wasn't really good so it looks a bit gloomy in the pic. I wonder how Americans confused with London Bridge and Tower Bridge. I didn't have time to see London Bridge but I heard it was only a normal Bridge but not as impressive as the Tower Bridge.

tRiP tO eNgLaNd

I have been packing my luggage for whole night and I didn't expect my luggage would be so heavy! It's only some clothes, coats and necessaries. I really wonder how can people manage to go travel with their backpack. They don't need to bring anything? Or because I bring too many things? When I arrived airport, it was only 5.30am!! The shops at the airport hadn't opened yet. Flight departed at 7.50am, surprisingly the seat of Qantas wasn't very narrow and the flight attendants were very friendly. I couldn't sleep in the flight, I watched a movie "Casanova". The movie is so entertaining because it is well acted, the costumes and the backgrounds are good, and the story itself is very romantic and humorous. I wondered why it wasn't released in Hong Kong.

After 12 hours flight, it was already 1.30pm when I arrived Heathrow Airport. I took few hours to get my luggage, pass the immigrant and take tube to the hostel. The hostel is in Kings Cross which is very convenient but the room was so tiny and the breakfast was bad. The hostel is run by Russians, they are quite friendly but I think they can't understand English very well. Anyway I don't think I will stay this hostel again.

After checking in to the hostel, it was nearly 4.30pm. I was planning to visit flea markets and Harrods but the flea markets close at around 5pm and also it was heavy rain. So I stayed in the hostel and got some rest.

X-MEN 3

I watched X-Men: The Last Stand tonight. It was good. The visual effect was great and the story was a little bit unexpected. I heard it was the end of Xmen series but I think there may be a potential part 4. Overall I like X-men 2 most because the story was better than this one. But remember don't leave your seat so soon!! There is still ending after the ending!! You will know what I mean when you watch it!!

I CAN BE A TEACHER?!

I've never thought I would be a Japanese teacher. I learn Japanese for interest, I didn't think I could be a teacher. Someone asked me to teach an elementary class, frankly I don't have confidence. I don't mean teaching kana is difficult for me, I think the most difficult thing is how to interest students in the class since I don't have any teaching experience. Also I have to prepare the teaching materical by myself but the class will start soon!! May be it's chance for me to use my Japanese but I'm still hesitating to take this job or not.

Count Down for WORLD CUP

I've checked the match schedule for England and luckily the 1st two matches are not too late and definately I can watch it. But for the game for England and Sweden, they play at HK time 3am and it's weekday!! How can I manage to watch it? Someone reminded me that I resigned the job for the World Cup 2002, but I couldn't remember I resigned because of this reason. May be it was one of the reason but I was still young and I thought I could look for another job easily. Now I won't be so hasty. But I am tempted to take few days off for watching World Cup. Is it kind of wasting my annual leave?

DA VINCI CODE

DA VINCI CODE is a hot topic now. I didn't have any expectation on this movie so I wasn't too disappointed after watching it. It's really not easy to simply put this complicated novel on the screen. I have read the novel and I think this film doesn't show the dramatic and mysterious way like the novel does. The growing affection between the two lead characters Langdon and Sophie was skipped. And it also skipped the mixed feelings of Sophie toward her grandfather. I don't think this film is a suspense coz it didn't make me feel eager to know what is going to happen (may be becoz I've read the book).

I don't understand why so many Christian groups strongly boycott this film and to have this film cut or banned. I heard this story has impacted many Christians but it's only a fiction. Just believe what you believe, how can your belief collapse easily?

My DrEaM

Have you ever had similar dreams with the same person on every few months? When you wake up, you may not remember your dreams but then suddenly during daytime, there is something flashing through your mind and you start to recall part of your dreams. Isn't it strange? I heard that People most often portrayed in dreams are actually reflections of your own personality traits. But I'm not dream analysist so I can't tell. But what make me dream like that?

CuRrEnCy CoNvErSiOn

What's the problem with US dollars? Continued dollar weakness? Who say it would bounce from its lows? Darn! I really don't want to convert my money to Pounds now! ₤1 = HK$ 14.6!!! I should have converted when the exchange rate wasn't high. But who knows? If I knew, I was a foreign currency buyer already!! Why Hong Kong dollar and US dollar are not unpedded?

MoThEr'S dAy

Mother's Day is kinda commercial nowadays. People treat their mothers well especially on this day like sending flowers, dining out with mothers, buying gifts... But we are not only treat our mothers well on this day. It's just like to do something to prove that you are a dutiful son/daughter. So meaningless! If you love your mother, everyday can be Mother's Day, right?

Scorpio Horoscopes / Blue Mood

== Scorpio Horoscopes for May 8th - May 14th ==

"A strong Seventh House offers the opportunity to enjoy your relationships and partnerships.

You are able to work together with others to achieve a common goal. This could mean working with a business partner to reach career goals or working with your love partner to bring your relationship to a new level. Be open about your feelings and share your concerns.

You feel the need to do things for your lover and show your affection through actions. There will be romantic opportunities in the work place and your charisma is now the strongest in this area.
This is a period of increased social activity and you will be getting more invitations than you can attend. This is also a period during which you will learn about compromise and about putting other people’s needs first."
-
Read this weely Horoscopes by chance and what I can say is half accurate. I don't indugle in astrology or tarot but it's fun to read these stuffs sometimes. I believe people can determine their own destinies and not destines control us.

== BLUE MOOD ==
-
I feel so blue and dull today. Don't wanna go out but I do nothing at home. Want to watch a funny film but I don't have any new funny VCDs. I expected to watch Stephen's Diary but it wasn't on TV tonight. I thought Cup finals would be broadcast on Cable TV but it's broadcast on Now Broadband TV! I don't have Now TV and I can't watch it! Why nothing is smooth today?

So TiReD!!

These days I feel so tired... I feel like I lost my energy and I don't want to do anything after work. I have headache and my back is stiff. I want to be in a luxury spa and relax. May be I'm under stress at work recently but I know I can cope in stressful situations. And who don't feel stress when they are working?

PHANTOM OF THE OPERA TICKET

Finally I reserved the tickets of The Phantom of the Opera Musical! Yay! I didn't want to reserve the most expensive tickets but the cheap tickets are fully booked. But at least it's cheaper to watch it in London. I hestitated to book Stage A final row of Stalls or 1st row of Circle but seems it Circle is better coz it's on the upper floor. Really can't wait to watch it!!

GET RID OF SOMETHING

When you get tired of something, it's not easy to interest you again. You may try to give yourself a good excuse to get rid of it. But when you think about how much time and money that you have spent on it, you may start to think whether it's worth to give up or not. But how to arouse your interest again? I don't want to give up but I don't have internet anymore.

HAIR STRAIGHTENED

I went to salon to straighten my hair today and I don't feel natural with it. I'm not used to see my long straight tidy hair :P I want to try to perm my hair but I know I will be too lazy to set my hairstyle everyday. Also I don't think curly hair suits me. Girls look older than their age when they have curly hair. My sister is a good example ;-) No one can tell she is 4 years younger than me!!

M:i:III / ID card Replacement

== M:i:III ==

Watched Mission Impossible III tonight. Comparing with the M:i:II, I think this one is more exciting. Great stuns, cool gadgets and good visual effects. The story line is ok but I think some plots don't make sense. Some ending scenes are so predictable but overall this movie is quite good.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

== Smart ID Card Replacement ==

I went to replace my smart ID card after work, I didn't make appointment but there were not many people and it was quite smooth. I wanted to add my English name but there is extra charge. Also If I make any changes on my name, all my passports and other things need to be changed also. Finally I keep everything unchanged.

BuSy WoRk

I had a very busy day and I feel like my work is piling up. Does it mean I'm becoming important now? It's quite annoying when people keep coming up to your desk and ask you something that you are not familiar either. Then you start to take over the job and work on it. And what would you do if your Japanese manager discusses something with the new supervisor next to you and then you know they hardly communicate? You would just pretend you were busy and not offereing any help? Or you would translate for them? Why I have to do this? Someone who can speak excellent Japanese but why she just sits there and do nothing? I think I can never finish my work if I keep helping them. But what are the solutions?

SICK

I'm so sick today! This afternoon I suddenly had stomachache and then started to vomit and have diarrhea. I didn't eat anything wrong, I only drank a cup of milk, ate an orange and a little bit smoke salmon. It's so strange that I was so sick but after taking pain killer and took a nap, I felt much better. Dad even asked me to see doctor and call in sick on the following day. Hahaha it reminds me of somone who usually called in sick.

NeW bAlaNcE + rOxY

I finally bought a pair of sneaker and an umbrella! I wanna buy them long time ago since I haven't had my pay yet :P Nothing is better than buying something for myself and make myself happy :) I hate rainy days but now I expect raining coz I am tempted to use my new umbrella. Hopefully it will rain on Tuesday coz I don't want the rain ruin my long weekend :P

mEsSaGe FrOm An OlD fRieNd

It is always good to hear news from old friends. I just got messages from an old friend and I feel like we haven't contacted for ages. When did we talk last time? I can't remember. Sometimes when you start not contact much your friends, you will become oblivious and seems like your friends are walking out from your life. But when you hear from them, you will feel so happy that they are fine. It's a good way to send e-mails or messages to your friends from time to time so they won't forget you. Thank you for this old friend reminding me that! :)

WeAkNeSs

Everyone has weakness. Some people look like they are always tough and seems nothing can affect their life and emotions. But may be inside they are very emotional. It's all about how you control your mind and feelings. I usually think the best way to hide your weakness is never let others know what's on your mind especially your competitors. Being weak is quite sissy, agree?

BNO Renewal

I have been hesitating to renew my BNO passport or not. I have my SAR passport and many people think it's kind of wasting money to renew it. Finally I decided to renew it even it's expensive. You can say I still have a great affection for Britain even Hong Kong has returned to China for many years. I still don't like to admit I'm CHINESE. I'm definately a local HONG KONGER. I don't really think BNO passport is superior, but SAR passport makes me feel like it's Chinese passport!

I've compared with BNO and SAR passport, there are over 20 countries that providing visa-free acess for BNO passports. Most of them are African countries and I'm interested in these 3 countries: Costa Rica, Zambia and Guam. Although I've been to Guam already, I do think I will go again within 10 years. Costa Rica and Zambia are so beautiful and I do want to visit there. It's hard to say it's worth or not but I do have advantage to have 2 passports!

GivinG & ReceivinG

A friend reminded me that the balance of giving and receiving. There is no free lunch in the world, you can't be the one who only give or who only receive. The receiver is meant for being selfish or taking advantage, the giver is meant for being devoted or silly. The more the giver devotes, the more he/she feels recentful and unfair coz he/she gets nothing and he/she starts to doubt it's worth or not to be the giver. Of course there is exceptional case, but it's rare and I can only think of Jesus.

swimming@CLEAR WATER BAY

This is my 1st time to go swimming this year!! It was a nice warm sunny day. We went to Clear Water Bay. The water was so clear and cool! I couldn't believe it could be so clear! Last year when I went there, it was so dirty and crowded.

But I got sunburn :( I've already put on 50++ sunblock on my skin but it is useless on me!! My skin has become sore and red especially my back and my hip. I hardly lie down with my back :( I think I have to keep myself in for a while to recover, I really don't like to be tanned.

After swimming, we went for a ride in Sai Kung. It's so nice to sit in convertible but not really good for ladies coz the wind mess your hair! I really want to get a driving license but it's too hard to afford a car!

a SuNnY SaTuRdAy

The weather was so fine today! It made me want to do outdoor activities. But I played one and a half hour squash this morning. I can't believe I can play so long and I didn't feel too tired. It's better to play in the morning. Playing after work is too tiring. After playing squash, we shopped around and bought something. I bought a Puma Visor and a swimming suit. Summer is coming!! It's time for me to buy new clothes but I think I should wait until next month coz I've spent much money already. Sigh~

COWARD

I despise people for being cowards. It's kind of lacking in honesty and courage. Someone who doesn't dare to admit what he did or tries to shift the blame to someone else is really bad. It's ok to hestitate but never deny!

FEEL LIKE HOLIDAY

After a long weekend, I was reluctant to work this morning. I'm still in holiday mood and it's not easy to wake up in the early morning. I was surprised that my manager went to office on Sunday!! How could she manage it? I would be crazy if she asked me to work on holidays :P Luckily I don't have as much workload as her.

TI CLASSMATES GATHRING

Dinner at Fat Angelo with TI friends. It was great to meet old friends. I didn't realise we have graduated for 7 years. Time really runs so fast. Seems we all haven't changed much. It was so funny to talk about the past institute life and recently life. I feel like I was back to those happy days in institute. Nearly half of us are working something related to computing. Quite a lot, huh? I really can't remember what practical skills I learnt, what a shame to tell people I studied in computing :P

HAIR TRIM

++ my hairstylist and my friend ++

I had my hair trimmed today. Just want to make myself neat before getting smart ID card. I still think this hairstylist is the best. He is more fashionable and he understands my needs. I usually think hairstylists are just like magicians coz they can do something we can't do. Everytime after having haircut, my hair style looks good and neat but then on the next day, I can never make it like what my hairstylist did. What's the different with their hands and our hands?

DAY TRIP IN LAMMA ISLAND

++ Beach in Lamma Island ++
-
I had a day trip in Lamma Island today. We had a walk from Yung Shue Wan to Sok Kwu Wan and then had seafood dinner at night. The weather was so cloudy, I didn't have any mood to take pics. There were quite a lot people went to Lamma Island, obviously people want to escape from city during holiday. There were so many delicious food in Lamma Island!! I liked the Thai barbecue squids, "gramma's tofu" was also good. The seafood was great! We ate scallops, fried squids with Chilli & Salt, prawns, fried clams... Yummy Yummy :p

GATHERING@SORABOL

Dinner out with friends at Sorabol Korean Restaurant. Haven't been there for ages, but the food isn't as good as before and it's quite expensive. Luckily my Korean colleague gave me her 15% discount VIP discount number =)

I got another singing dog! White and Black dogs can gather at last! I know Yiu only wanted to make fun on me for giving me the doggies but anyway thank you so much ;) They are so cute and soft! Hopefully they won't sing in the middle of the night :P

BOWLING

I haven't played bowling for many years. I still remember when I was in institute, I usually skipped the lessons and hung out with friends at bowling alley. Those days were really happy. It seems my skill isn't that bad though I haven't played for long time. At least I had few strikes and spares ;) I can't remember my best scores, but 139 scores is average? What is the total score? I don't know how to score, it's complicated to me. I'm even not sure how many pins are there :P It's not important though, what I need is to knock down all the pins ;)

Discontentment

Someone told me that he didn't feel quite well these days. It's not physical problem but the spiritual. I think I understand the way he feels. It's just like when everything in your life seems fine, like your job, your love, your family, your friends are all ok, you still don't feel content and you feel a little bit lose. You even feel like something has missed out but you can't tell what it is. May be humans are greedy, when the things are stable, you start to desire a new excitement. When the things aren't going well, you start to complain. I think taking a short break is the best solution. Just go somewhere far away, breathe some fresh air and refresh your mind.

Graves Sweeping

Went to visit grandparents' graves today. Luckily it wasn't too hot and too sunny. Actually I see this as a kind of boring relatives gathering. Those relatvies who only see twice a year, they usually say the similar stuff everytime we meet. Such as, "How's your job?" " You look slimmer/fatter than I saw you last time." "Do you take any course recently?" "How old are you now?" I feel a little bit irritated to answer these questions. Although they are my relatives, we are far more like relatives. Relative means nothing. Only people who have the same surname and same blood with you. Quite ridiculous, huh?

DRUNK

What is the defination of drunk? When you feel dizzy and you can't walk straight? You drink like a fish until you vomit? I think it's not easy to get totally drunk. I believe even if you are drunk, a little bit of your mind is still clear. May be when you are sober up, your mind is blank but it's impossible that you completely don't remember anything. I don't really believe "In Wine There is Truth" coz you never know someone is really drunk or not. So girls, never believe guys' honeyed words after they drink. It's not trustworthy!!

Michael will be BACK soon!

Just watch the interview of Michael Owen, I'm still not used to listen his accent. It's really not easy to undertsand. A good news is that he can be fit on playing World Cup! That's great!! There are friendly match on 30th May and 4th June at Old Trafford, can I get the ticket?

AIR JORDAN / PAY DAY

== My AiR jOrDan IV ==

My favourite Air Jordon IV basketball shoes are worn out! :( They have accompanied me for few years. I didn't expect they would worn out so soon since I haven't worn them much. I don't think I will buy a pair of new basketball shoes anymore coz I don't play basketball now. It's better to buy sneakers or casual shoes. I still remember why I bought this Air Jordon IV, it is the same reason that I bought my Nike watch :P Silly me :P

== WhEn Is PaY dAy? ==

I haven't got my pay yet!! It's 4th already!! I thought the account manager would make the cheque to me today! How unreasonable! Why I have to be treated like that? Last month she deposited my cheque wrongly into my colleague's bank account, don't tell me this month she made the same mistake! Why can't she be more efficient?

ALTAS / FUNNY DREAM

== AlTaS ==

Thank you for getting me this A-Z London Street Altas. It's a very user friendly map!! Although I'm not good at reading map, I'm sure I won't lose my way! :P The tube doesn't look that complicated, it's less complicated than Japan. But how come the railway is so complicated? It looks like a maze!!

Someone told me about her dream last night. She dreamed she was robbed by a old lady in the lift and the old lady hurted her with a knife. She resisted and wanted to fight back. When she gave the old lady a punch, she hitted the wall... The real wall which is next to her bed...She felt hurt and woke up! Hahahaaa I burst out laughing after hearing her funny dream!! So silly!!

KARAOKE NITE

Went to Karaoke and played Mahjong last night. It's really not enough for only singing 3 hours :P I'm really a bit lagging behind when it comes to Cantonese pop songs. I can't sing many new songs :P Fortunately I know who is the lastest fad right now. Justin's songs seem good, when will he has Part 3 concert?

I was quite bad luck on playing mahjong tonight. I couldn't concentrate and I didn't know what I was doing. How can you manage to chitchat and play mahjong at once?

== 1st Roll@nAtUrA Black ==

I've developed my 1st roll of film of Natura Black!! ;-) How impressive is this camera!! The night pics and indoor dim pics are surprisingly good!! I fall in love with Natura now :P Although there are some pics out of focus, it wasn't my fault. Who took those pics, huh? ;) Never stop!! 2nd roll will be started tomorrow!!

CONCERT

Got free tickets to watch MARK & FRIENDS CHARITY CONCERT. There were so many singers such as Edmond Leung, Leo Koo, Andy Hui, Hacken Lee, Alan Tam, Leon Lai, Kelly Chan, Miriam Yeung, Candy Ho, Ho Wan Sze and Lam Yik Lin. They all sang Mark Lui's songs. I didn't know Mark has composed so many songs. Leo and Lam Yik Lin sang so well in live, Leon was the worst! He even forgot the lyrics!!

PULLED MUSCLES

Sigh... I have to admit I'm old girl now. I played squash tonight but I didn't have enough stretch and warm-up so I pulled my leg and upper arm muscles. Oh my godness it's really painful!! The overstretching of playing backhand pulled my muscle hardly! It wasn't a keen competition, it was casual playing only. Poor me :(

Dinner at Japanese Dining Sun tonight. The food were quite good but it's not worth to pay so much. But I really liked the Foie Gras Lettuce Tsutsu and Kani Mango Rainbow Roll. They were delicious! Also the sashimi were fresh but the portion was so small. Anyway I don't bother coz someone paid for it!! ;)

Oh Baby thank you for getting me this old copy of the Pride and Prejudice! How surprising!! You know I'm too lazy to read from the internet? It's much more better to hold a book in hand and read it. You think how long I can finish this book? I'm not a slow reader ;) You bet I can finish before May?

SAW A FRIEND IN CENTRAL

It's really hard to describe the feelings when you meet someone you haven't seen for few years. Would you just say hello straight away? Would you look at him until he is aware of you? Or would you pretend you don't know this person? In normal circumstances I would give him a friendly smile and make sure he has recognised me. I didn't plan to go to Central tonight, I was looking for Pedder Street and I just wanted to ask someoe. Then I saw this friend unexpectedly. Obviously he was busy with talking to his friend and I didn't want to bother him. I think may be I was just scared of talking to him :P It would be so embarrassed if he couldn't recognise me :P

NATURA BLACK

Oh Yeah I got NATURA BLACK at last! I have waited for so long! It's really hard to choose Natura Black or Classica. Zoom function isn't really important for me, F1.9 diaphragm is more attractive so finally I chose Natura Black :) I can't wait to test this camera. Let's have a night out and snap ;)

DINNER@OSAKA / LET GO

== DiNnEr @ OsaKa ==

I had dinner at "OSAKA" today. I haven't been there for a long time. The udon was still so delicious!! It wasn't sticky!! So fresh and yummy!! I first tried this fired chicken and ice tofu, so great!! The fired chicken wasn't greasy, it was still hot and crispy when I ate it. The ice tofu was so special! It severd with wasabi and special sauce. I start to understand why Japanese like eating tofu so much!!

== LeT gO!! ==

Sometimes being eyes shut or turning ears deaf is better than sticking into the problems. Just let go and think optimistically, you will feel better. If you keep dwelling on it, you can never feel relieved. Take it easy!! A leopard can't change its spots!!

THE ITALIAN

I bought few CDs and VCDs today, one is this CD "The Italian" by Patrizio Buanne, the other is a French Jazz "La Vie En Rose". I have heard "The Italian", althought I don't understand the lyrics, it's good. "Il Mondo" is the hit on this album. Patrizio sings in a mixture of Italian and English, back by orchestra. The sound is emotional and high quality. I haven't heard the other French album yet, but I think it won't be bad.

The other two VCDs are "Amelie From Montmartre" and "Alfie". Someone told me "Amelie From Montmartre" was good and it was worth to watch. I wanted to watch "Alfie" since it was released in States. But it hasn't released in Hong Kong. Luckily I find a cheap VCD! Hopefully I have time to watch them in the weekend.

PLAYING SQUASH

I haven't played squash for few years. My racket is still quite new but the racket handle has oxidised and it made my palm black! So dirty!! I had no choice to use it! My arm is aching now and I feel like it's not mine. I think I'm old now... my backhand is so week and my footwork is slow. It was just like old ladies playing squash :P

MEETING

If a manager isn't willing to accept new ideas or comment, how can a company works things well? We are going to solve the problems not dwelling on personal criticism. I don't understand why my manager was so shocked to listen our comments. Isn't it normal to say your point of views? I don't think it's wrong. Unless she wants to cover her faults so she doesn't want to report to the boss and make any innovation. How can she handle things like that?

GATHERING

I don't like to arrange a gathering and being a contact person. It's fun to gather with friends but it's annoying to contact all of them especially those who are usually NOT SURE their schedule. "Will you go or not?" It's only a YES or No question, why make it so difficult to answer? If you are free, just say yes. If not then say no. Why usually say I'm not sure but I will let you know later? How can the host arrange if everyone tells him at the last minutes?

What make you are not sure? Because you are really busy? Or it depends on your mood, on the weather? Or it depends on another gathering you wanna go or not? Or it depends on who will attend? It's ok to be not sure sometimes but if someone is always like that, I don't think I'm interested to call him/her out again.

INNOVATION

My colleague asked me to write down something what our company needs to improve. And we are going to talk to our manager next week. I'm still new in this company but I can see there are many problems and we don't have a good system to work things well. I'm not sure I will work here long or not but if we keep working in this way, things will get worse. Our company is expanding, we need to be systematic. Sometimes I think Japanese are quite stubborn and they are not willing to innovate. That's why everything is not clear and sometimes I'm confused. So who made this?

I'm a little bit surprised to know a friend is being a fireman now. He is very fit to be a fireman but I still think it's not suitable for him. And is it too late to be a fireman now?

A NIGHT AT DL HOTEL

I got chance to stay a night at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel for free! That's great! We stayed at Sea View with Balcony room, it's facing to South China sea and the view was so beautiful! This hotel is Victorian Style, the room design looks so grand. What a pity I had to rush to work on the following day so I couldn't watch the sunshine and enjoy the facitilies. The seven dwarfs bathset is so cute! There are toothbrush, toothpaste, shower cap, raxor & shaving foam, Cotton Pad & Swab, Sewing kit, emery board and comb. It's highly collectable!

ASIA'S TOP IRRITATIONS

== ASIA'S TOP IRRITATIONS ==

Just read a survey about Asia's Top Irritations. I do agree there are plenty of that drive us nuts. These common annoyances are really hard to bear!

Rank #1 Bad Drivers
Luckily the transport system in Hong Kong isn't that bad. At least most of the driver here obey the traffic laws. But in China and Taiwan, the drivers don't care about the pedestrian, the longest time for me to wait for crossing the road in Taiwan was 15 mins! Unbelievable!!

Rank#2 Queue-jumpers
I hate queue-jumpers!! They are so selfish, they think they are the only one to is rush? Those Mainland Chinese people don't know what is queue, they only know what is the fastest way to take advantage.

Rank#3 Spitting in Public
I don't understand why elder men like spitting in public. They don't have tissue or something? Or they think it's only public aera so they don't need to keep it clean? I bet they have never spat at their home!

Rank#4 Poor services in shops/restaurants
Good services impress people and I think good services is very important. Just like yesterday I went to a comestic counter, the saleslady didn't provide any good services. She wasn't willing to recommend their products even I asked her. She expected I would buy anything if she acted like that?

Rank#10 Smoking in public places
The smell of smoke is really annoying. Everytime after going to karaoke or some restaurants, my clothes and bag becomes smelly. Why don't people just smoke at home or smoking room?

Rank#11 Unpunctuality
I don't dare to say I'm punctual. I'm often late when I go out with friends. I used to be late at work even I worked at 12pm. I'm now trying to get out of this bad habbit. This new company have time recorder, I can't be late.

Rank# 12 Computer crashes
It's top irritation for me! I will get crazy if I'm working on the document and then the computer suddenly crashes without saving the data! Who helps me to do it again? Computer is convenient but it's not reliable. I learnt a lesson before!

Rank#13 People talking loudly on mobile phone
Many people talk loudly on mobile phone. Once I heard a man talking loudly in the minibus and he disturbed my sleep. I really wanted to ask him to shut off his big mouth. He talked loudly and he lied that he was in China and was rushing back to Hong Kong. Bad liar! And also I don't like people using 3G phone in public without using handfree, they expect everyone is interested to hear what they say?

Rank#15 Telemarketers
I understand telemarketer is only a kind of job but I hate those annoying telemarkets keep calling even you say you don't need their products. They say they would only spend you 1 min to do a survey but finally you talk with them more than 10 mins! That is cheating!

Rank#20 Plastic wrapping you can't open
Sometimes when I can't open plastic wrapping, I feel annoyed and just want to tear it. But it doesn't work. Especially if you tear the food plastic wrapping violently (such as potato chips), finally you can't eat coz the potato chips would all drop on the floor. The best way is to get a cutter or scissors, or you can use your teeth instead?

A GREAT DINNER AT TUTTO BENE

Dinner at this great Italian restaurant. The food and the atmosphere was good, the service was excellent. This salmon Linguine and tomato gnocchi were so tasty! It was expensive but it doesn't matter coz I just got my pay ;)
-
After dinner of course it's dessert time! We had blueberry chessecake and frappuccion ;) The cheesecake was ok, it would be better if there was blueberry glaze on top.
-
We wanted to play bowling at Olympian City but there were to many people! I think we had to wait for more than 2 hours! We didn't play fina lly but we met Andy Lau ;) There were so many fans watching him playing! His skill was not bad tho.

NEW CAMERA MEMBER

I got a SLR 35mm Film Camera! Thank you so much Newman!! I'm only a amateur and I have to learn how to use this professional camera. But I'm glad to have a "new member" for my camera family. It's my 10th camera! Is it too many? It is never too many! :P I'm thinking to get another cool camera "Natura Classica", it's a super nice camera which takes beautiful shots at night! It's hard to resist :P What a pity it has only released in Japan today and I don't know how long I have to wait to get in Hong Kong.
