CPK! I'm loving it :D
Dinner at CPK again :D Thanks for celebrating my birthday there! I like the food a lot! I like the Sicilian Pizza and the Marsala Marinara! Yummy~ Italian food is my favourite! May be I should have learned Italian not French LOL
Sigh... goodbye 25, tomorrow I will be 26!! What a sad thing LOL 26 is so old!! Time runs too fast when I'm 20 something! Especially this year!! Too bad... From now on, I should forget how old I am LOL So please don't ask me LOL

BUFFET DINNER @MARCO POLO
Buffet dinner at Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel. The environment and the food were good! There were quite a lot of food such as salad, curry, seafood, sashimi, sushi, Chinese food, beef, rice, dessert... The oysters and sashimi were fresh! I like the dessert too! Especially this strewberry blancmange! I think dessert is the most part for the buffet! ;)

KNOTTY QUESTION
I really want to pretend I'm stupid or something so I can get rid of it :P I'm not good at come up against complicated things especially something I hardly avoid. I only want simple stuff so please don't drop me knotty questions. May be I should say firmly that I don't want to get involve in it. I always think "YES" or "No" question is easy to answer but it's a two-way thing so if someone is stubborn, I really can't help...

CANON IXUS 850IS

Yay I bought a ditigal camera finally!! I have been hestitating and waiting for too long! I really want to buy a SLR digital camera but I think compact camera is more suitable for me. The price of this camera is reasonable and the fuction is powerful! Thanks for my friend that recommending me to buy it in a shop in Central. It's a bit cheaper than Broadway and Fortress.
I had a test pic of the clock tower at Central star ferry pier. What a pity the pier and the clock tower is going to be knock down for reclamation plans. Today is the last day of for the pier. The new one is near by IFC and I think it's quite far away. It's shame to see the it go.
Oh I was a bit silly that before I thought the clock tower at Tsim Sha Tsui would be knock down. When I was at the Central star ferry pier this afternoon, I saw so many people taking pics and then I knew it wasn't the TST clock tower LOL Silly me LOL

How easily do you get bored?
"It depends on what you are doing. If you have great interest on the subject you are likely not to get bored, but if you hate it you will probably get bored fast and find something else to do. I suggest for you that you just keep doing things you like and you will have a very low chance of getting bored."
What can I say? Oh yeah BINGO?! Well... isn't it cool? I am what I am ;)

JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER
I think I really can't judge a book by its cover. I usually jump to a conclusion and assume someone or something is like what they look like. I can't know by looking only at their appearance. But I usually feel extra surprised when thing is out of my expectation. Kinda silly, huh?

SICK AGAIN
I am so sick again. Today I went to see the Chinese doctor. I should have seen the doctor earlier but I was too busy. I don't like Chinese herbal medicine coz it's very bitter. Also I don't really trust Chinese medicine. The doctor said I got tracheitis! He said drinking milk can cause sputum! Oh I didn't know and I drink a glass of milk a day! It's hard to get rid of the illness!

DEATH NOTE

Watching DEATH NOTE 2 tonight. It wasn't as good as the 1st one. It was a little bit long-winded and they should have cut those scenes. Overall it was was okay and the ending was unexpected. I wonder the story is same with the original comic or not. I'm going to download the comics and read it when I have time.

HIKING, DYING
I felt so sick today! I haven't recovered from my sickness yet. We planned to hike from Tsuen Wan to Yuen Long but becoz I was too sick, we just hiked around the hill at Tsuen Wan. I didn't feel wrong before hiking, but when I walked up to the hill and stairs, I was so sick. I felt like vomitting and I had difficult on breathing. It's really strange coz I had never felt that before when I went hiking. Today I had to keep stopping, resting and then walking again. The route wasn't rough but I felt like ages after finishing. I'm really worn out! Thanks god I can come home safety.... Saturday, October 28, 2006
SONY ERICSSON W850I
I bought a new mobile today! I didn't think I would buy a SONY ERICSSON coz I heard it is quite fragile and not easy friendly. I wanted to buy Sharp SX633 Black Opal since Smartone is on promotion but finally I decided to buy W850i! I like the stylish looking! Slider phone looks cool! Other functions like walkman, FM Stereo Radio, and Bluetooth are not very important for me coz I have iPod already. My colleague said it was kinda waste to buy this fuctional phone if I don't use all the fuction. Oh well... I bought it only becoz the look! :PP.S. Now I can use mp3 ringtones and I can set my favourite theme!!

THE PRESTIGE

Watching "THE PRESTIGE" tonight. I thought it was a thriller when I read the ad in the newspaper. This film is a tale of obsession and competition between two magicians. Not much tension and no suspense. But the ending was unpredictable! I couldn't figure what happened till the end of the movie. It was quite good but I was really hoping for some magic.

WELCOME HOME! L-CA!!
I got my L-CA back!! Oh yeh!! I have been waiting for a long time!! I should have taken it back last week but I was too busy. Lomo Office is really far away and I don't want to go there anymore! I lost the way again! It's worth to pay $350 to fix the camera and I have 3 months warranty start from today. I have to be careful and not to drop my camera on the floor anymore.

HALF DAY OFF
Really don't want to go to work today!! I'm still so sick and I'm tired. But I had somethings to do in the morning so I had to go back to work. I don't want to ask my colleagues to do it for me. I trust myself more :P After a busy morning, I decided to go back home in the afternoon. Thanks for my manager that allowing me going home. But I only took 2 hours nap and then had to wake up and attend the French lesson. Oh I didn't feel like going to school but I knew if I missed a lesson, I would miss many things!! What a hard working student I am!! :D I proved that it was right to attend the lesson!!

I GOT FLU
I have been feeling not well for few days, finally I went to see the doctor after work. I got flu! Not serious though, it's just my throat doesn't feel well and I got sputum, aching back, nausea... The doctor didn't look friendly, his face was black and seems this job is routine and boring for him. I think I saw him not more than 3 mins! How can a doctor diagnose a patience accurately in such short time? I understand why doctors earn so much now! 3 mins for a patience, so if he works 8 hours a day, that means he can diagnose for more than 100 patiences in a day!!

STANLEY + CWB + MK
I'm so tired today! I didn't want to wake up in the morning but I had to show my friend around Stanley Market and then went to Causeway Bay and Mongkok. Stanley Market is always a place for tourist, I don't think I can buy anything there. I don't like to go to Causeway Bay and Mongkok during weekends coz it's extremely crowded!

ENGLISH vs AMERICAN
My friends have English and American friend that visit Hong Kong, so we went out for dinner and had a drink at LKF. We had Shanghai food and these two western guys liked a lot. It's funny that they both spoke same language but their accents were so different. And they are kind of typical English and American!! The English guy was quite reserved and the American guy was very funny and was open to talk everything and make us laugh. I wonder how can they go travel for few months! They don't need money to survive?
Oh I really can't wait to go travel! Life is boring here and I need to breath some fresh air and get some rest! When will be my next vacation?

COMMENT ALLAZ-VOUS!!
Had my 2nd French lesson. I learned some more greeting phrases. When the teacher taught us "Comment allaz-vous", it reminded me of Steven Chow Shing Chi's moive "God of Gamblers III: Back to Shanghai". "Comment allaz-vous" is his French name and he won the French Gold of Gambler finally LOL Oh yeh let's hit the tiger tonight LOL :D

BLANK LOOK
I always believe Sunday is a resting day. Especailly a tiring Sunday. God created the world in six days, and the 7th day, God rested and sanctified the day! Why can't I rest at home today? I was reluctant to go out and waste my time. It annoyed me! I really couldn't put on my happy face mask, there was only blank look on my face. At lease I didn't act like I feel annoyed.
Dinner at CKF, I had no appetite and I only ate a little. The new "Milan" pizza was quite good. I liked the cream sauce linguini too! Next time I should go there and eat again when I'm in happy mood.

1ST FRENCH LESSON
My 1st French lesson at Alliance Francaise! Surprising my teacher is a young French woman, I thought it would be a handsome French lad LOL No I thought it would be a mature French fat woman LOL The class was quite interesting, I learned some some simple phrases like "Ca va?" "Comment tu t'appelles?" "Je m'apelle...", les nombres and les lettres. I didn't expect it would teach pharses and numbers before learning alphabets! The teaching sequence is quite different. I tried hard to memorise the pronouncation from 1-19 and A-Z. I doubt I can remember all those stuffs until the next lesson!

TENNIS + BBQ + DVD
What a sunny Day! I played tennis today. I haven't played since I left institute! Playing an hour tennis felt like much longer than playing squash! It was really energy consuming and it was too hot to play under the sun. After that I went to my colleague's home to have a barbecue and watch DVD. I found myself like playing with dogs more than children. Or may be my colleague's son isn't adorable enough :P Naughty boy is a big headache!

This DVD was quite good. It's background is at around 60's of Tokyo and it's kinda warm family story. Quite funny and touching. The NorthEast Japanese accent is funny!!

THE DEPARTED
This film was quite disappointing!! I knew as a remade film, it wouldn't be as good as the original one! But how can it be like that? The cast are good with the almost same storyline but the tension wasn't as much as Infernal Affair! Lots of profanity, violence, and blood and the American humours is overacting! ! Obvisouly some scenes are made for appericating the American market. Why hollywood always use Chinese actor who doesn't really speak Chinese?I'm surprised at all the "A" ratings it is receiving from American critics. Many of the brilliant details of the original are gone, especially its complete omission of the plot of Morse code. Leonardo's acting was fine but Matt Damon wasn't really good. The music was bad too. Martin Scoresese wastes a good story!

HOTPOT @ YAU GWAT HEI
Had hotpot with friends at YauGwatHei tonight. The internior design and the enviornment was very weird inside the restaurant. It's not like traditional hotpot restaurant, there was live band show, dim light and it looks like western restaurant for people to have candle night dinner. So strange!! The light wasn't bright enough for me to see if the meat is well done or not! I think I ate some rare food :P The quality of the beef was bad, the other things were ok. So far this restaurant is not too bad but not so good.

TIRING FRIDAY
Dinner at Fung Yeun Korean Restaurant. It's a very local Korean Restaurant, the beef was so delicious. But overall I like Golden Sorabol Korean Restaurant more becoz the envoirment is better. After dinner we wanted to play bowling but the bowling alleys in Whampoa and Olympian City were full. We then went for Karaoke again. I was too tired and I almost fell asleep at karaoke :P I planned to join my other group of friends to have a drink but it was better to head to home and have a long sleep! ;)

EXHAUSTED
Playing squash after work. I'm exhausted. I have been so busy at work and it tires me out. It seems like I can never finish my work. It's good that the manager appreciates my performance but on the other hand if she doesn't like to trust others, it will be a burden for me!! Hopefully I will get my rewards at the end of the year ;)
The monitor hasn't worked for few days. Finally bought a Philips 15 inches monitor. Many friends suggested me to buy a 19 inches monitor coz it's cheap and big LOL I don't think I need such a big monitor coz I don't watch movie or play computer games on PC. 17 inches monitor is ok but what a pity that my computer desk only have enough space for 15 inches monitor!! I had no choice...

THE LAKE HOUSE
Watching The Lake House today. A very sweet and sincere love story. It was touching! I am not a romantic movie kind of person but I really like it! Keanu Reeves is very suitable to star this kind of movie. His last romance movie that I watched was Sweet November and he acted so well too. Thumbs up!!Sunday, September 24, 2006
BOAT TRIP 2
++ Heading to Gwai Po Wan ++
Went for boat trip at Gwai Po Wan again! We planned to go to Long Kei but it was too windy so we went to Gwai Po Wan instead. The weather was cool and bad today. It was cloudy and shower sometimes. I didn't swim coz it was too cold. I only played with the dogs at the beach.
Afternoon we went to Salt Farm to have a walk. It's my first time to go hiking with beach slippers! LOL

ALLIANCE FRANCAISE
I have been busy at work but finally I decide to learn french. I went to Alliance Francaise and apply the beginner course. The 8pm class is full so I had no choice to apply the 6.30pm class. I didn't expect it would be full! How come so many people learn French? Although it's the most popular European language in Hong Kong, comparing with English and Japanese course, the classes shouldn't be so full. Hopefully I can attend the class on time!

FACE CHANGING
Emotional intelligence is a person's ability to understand their own emotions and to act appropriately using these emotions. What the hack is that some people can't control their emotions? Their tempers are more changeable than the weather!! May be they should join the Sichuan opera to perform their "face changing" (mask switching)!! I bet they can be the best of mask switching!!

EARTHQUAKE
An earthquake shaked Hong Kong! It has ony lasted for few seconds but I could feel the shake. It wasn't a serious earthquake, only 3.5 on the Richter scale and nothing got destroyed. Hong Kong isn't in the quake zone but in my life it happened twice. The last earthquake was me still a student, I was in the classroom and I thought my classmate who sat next to me shaking my chair LOL Seems everything is possible now so when would Hong Kong snow? :P

LOMO OFFICE

Took my L-CA to repair after work and I had to rush to there before Lomo office is closed. I'm not good at reading map! How come I lost my way even I had a map in hand? :P No it's not my fault, it's too far away and I'm not familiar with the streets in Sheungwan! Also the map isn't clear enough LOL Oh it needs 4 weeks to check and repair the L-CA, hopefully it can be fixed. Shutter stuck isn't a big problem, is it?

++ birthday cake for doggies, look so nice ++
Joined BB + Miki + Kabu's birthday party at Hong Kong Dog Park. I haven't seen BB and Miki for a long time! It's my first time to see Kabu and it's not as big as I thought. English and American cocker Spaniels are so different! I wish I could have a dog but I know I can never be a good master. It's ok for me to play with dogs but I don't like to clean up shit LOL

RAINY DAY BUT NEED TO GO OUT
I was waken up in the early morning and then rush to Sheraton to take my Korean colleagues to shop around comestic goods and take a look at Tsim Sha Tsui. It was cloudy when I went out but then when I arrived TST it rained cats and dogs! I didn't bring umbrella and I had to buy one. I really wanted to go back home but I couldn't.
-
There was nothing good to visit, we just shopped around Mirama shopping mall and Harbour city. Quite uninteresting for me coz only window shopping. Dinner at Kyozaka, they wanted to try traditional food so it's the best choice. I like the menu on the wall and it's so Japanese styled.

SENSHURAKU + DOUGHNUT
Dinner at Senshuraku Japanese dining. The environment was good and I like this salmon sea urchin sushi. The other food like barbecued beef and fried rice were quite good. But the service was bad. So far Mr.Picky hasn't complained much and seem he was quite appreciated. We all felt relieved LOL
After dinner we had doughnut at Krispy Kreme, I know this doughnut store is quite popular in overseas, it has just opened in Hong Kong and I'm surprised so many people like doughuts. Anyway I guess it's just a only a passing fad. I tried the original glazd and it was quite good. If it wasn't so sweet, I think I would like it more.Thursday, September 07, 2006
HONG KONG MEN
I heard many Japanese and Korean women said Hong Kong men are very decent and nice that like gentlemen. I don't really agree until I have known more Japanese and Korean people. Male chauvinism is normal in Japanese and Korean society. Women have to please and serve men. I was surprised to know Japanese and Korean women are impressed by Hong Kong men for doing little things like opening the door, pouring tea, cooking food... I don't mean men should do that but I don't think it's so special for men to do that unless he is doing from his heart. Different culture makes things difference. I understand why someone can find a Japanese girlfriend easily lol

GOODBYE / airsupply
2 Korean colleagues has come to our office from Korea today. They don't really look like Korean. They look more like Japanese and Chinese. I don't contact with these 2 Korean colleagues much and I didn't expect to have dinner with them at night. I was so tried and I wanted to go home as quick as I can. We had dinner at JIN LUO BAO, it's quite boring to talk about business at dinner and I was a bit fed up with it.
After dinner we went to Korean karaoke box, it was quite entertaining but there were no new Cantonese/Mandarin songs. I found an English old songs "Goodbye" which sang by Air supply and I like it! I heard it long time before but this song didn't impress me. But now I think it's good.

SHING MUN RESERVOIR
Hiking at Shing Mun Reservoir today. I haven't hiked for a long time! It's good to choose this place, so easy to hike! But the weather wasn't good, it was cloudy, humid and hot. I didn't know there are moneys and those moneys are so clever! They can recognise plastic bags and they know people bring food with plastic bags. They rob people's food! That's scary.
After hiking, we cooked food coz my friends took the cookset and it was really fun to cook simple food like noodles and fish balls. The food was simple but delicious coz after few hours hiking, we all were so hungry. We suggested to cook rice and chicken wings and cured sausages next time!

KATIGA

After a long tiring working day, I had dinner with colleagues at Katiga. I haven't been there for a long time. There is not as popular as before. Suprisingly the restaurant wasn't full during dinner time. We ordered crab congee, Sushi set, garlic beef and fried chicken softbone. I like crab congee but the suishi wasn't really fresh. I understand why not many people eat there now. I bet Leon Lai haven't been there for a long time lol

OUTBACK
Dinner at Outback Steakhouse with friends. It was my first time to eat there. I'm not that into steak and fried food but recently I have eaten too much Asia food, I got a little bit tired of it. We ordered Popcorn Shrimp, Rip with Wing Combo, Bushman 'Shrooms, Caesar Salad, Sirloin and Seafood pasta. I liked the popcorn shrimp and the pasta. Sirloin was great too!! It's good to eat food like that occassionally. After dinner we had dessert at Moon House, it was rare that we didn't need to wait for long time and we had nice seats.
I found this world is really small. Have you ever thought two different groups of your friends may know each other but you don't know?

KANATIN COMIQ
My Japanese friend has come to Hong Kong for vacation. We had dinner at Chon Wo Korean Restaurant. The environment wasn't really good, it was too noisy to talk. I'm surprised that my friend knows so many thing about Hong Kong! Such as the newest entertainment news and even the case of "Bus Uncle"! She is fanatical about Hong Kong! I got her handwrite comic books and her drawing is cute!

GLOOMY SUNDAY

Someone told me the story of a haunting song "GLOOMY SUNDAY", it's a song written by a Hungarian painist Rezso Seress in 1933. It is also called "Suicide Song" because over a hundred people felt too depressing and committed suicide after listening to it. It seems like this song was being cursed. Seress's fiancee left him so he wrote this song to win her heart back but she also committed suicide after listening to it.
I'm curious about the power of this Suicide Song, I've listened the original Hungarian version, the piano instrument version and other English versions, I think this song is very impressive. It's a very blue song and I like the melody. But what make people suicide? I can't believe music can kill anyone. Or may be today is a sunny Sunday and I'm not in blue mood so I can't feel the power of this song :P

HAIR TRIM, TOLERABLE
I had hair trim today. I'm not so satisified with it. I asked my hairdresser not to cut more than 1 inch but he cut more than that! It's not too bad but not I expected. It's not easy to find a good hairdresser that fit your style. Sometimes the hairdresseres make you a neat haircut but sometime they make you a bad hairstyle. May be hairdresseres' skills are more unstable than the weather. Someone told me not to have hair cut in the morning and at night because in the morning, the hairdresser hasn't warmed up yet and at night he is too tired since he has trimmed many customers. I think it's quite true coz I went to the salon at night!!

PEKING GARDEN RESTAURANT
Dinner with boss, Japanese guests and colleagues at Peking Garden Restaurant. It's my 2nd time to eat there. I don't think local people usually go to this restaurant. Half of guests are foreigners. The food was quite good but it was expensive. I liked the Pecking Duck, Shark Fin's soup, Sweetened Vinegar Pawns and fish. The small steamer buns were quite good. I get tired of Cantonese cuisine, so it's good to eat Beijing food occassionally. But if I dine out with my friends or family, I would never choose this restaurant :P It's a restaurant for foreigners!

ARROGANCE
I don't understand why some people can be so arrogant and rude. Do they not know what is modest? Do they think they are superior than everyone else? It's good if someone who has self-confidence but arrogant doesn't mean self-confidence!! If someone who doesn't have quality, please shut up and don't pretend you know and you are good at everything!! Arrogant people are so intolerable!! It really annoys me. I think people who are arrogant is too self-centered and egotistical, arrogance is a cover for insecurity. True self-confidence is quiet and calm, it doesn't brag or swagger or insult people.

JIN LUO BAO KOREAN RESTAURANT
Dinner at Jin Luo Bao Korean Restaurant with colleagues. It's a good quality Korean BBQ restaurant. We ordered a lot of food like starters, barbecue beef ribs, raw beef, cold noodles, soup and fishes. It was so delicious!! And thanks for our Korean colleague, she bargained with the Korean manager, so we ordered 1 Korean wine and got 2 free!! :) It's my favourite Korean wine "Sansachun"!!

After dinner we went for Karaoke. It's a Japanese Karaoke box and it is for member only. None of us is member but my Japanese colleague told the rececption that she had been there once and then they allowed us to get in LOL Seems it's not really for member. I prefer Hong Kong Karaoke box more coz I couldn't find any new cantonese songs at the Japanese Karaoke Box :P And most of the Chinese songs are Mandarin!!

GIVE ME A BREAK
Give me a break!! I get sick of it and I feel reluctant to do things that I'm not interested. Do the right things in the right time! Even if you are interested in it, but if you are not in mood or it's not a right time, you can't do things well. Just like I like photography but I hate rainy days, you think I am willing to take pics under the rain? Unless you drag me out or I'm in happy mood! Got it?

KUSHIYAKI

Shopped around Lamgham Palace and then settled for dinner at Kushiyaki becoz I had no idea where to eat at Mongkok. But this restaurant is suck!! Bad and slow service, how come they needed nearly an hour for only servering few dishes? The food quality was poor and not fresh enough. It's not worth for this cost. This restaurant annoyed me a lot and I think eating Wonton noodles is better than eating there!

DEATH NOTE
Watched DEATH NOTE today. It was interesting! I have never read the comics and had no idea of this story but it was entertaining. Death Note from the Death? Isn't it a great power to control one's death? I'm looking forward to watch the sequel! Why recently the film makers like to split one film into two? Just want to break the top box office? As an audience, I really don't like that unless the sequel would be released next month :PDinner at YMT and we had Chiuchou cuisine. It was a very traditional Chiuichou food stalls and we had oyster pancake, pig blood curds, squid, pig instestine, Chinese red sausages and broccoli. The food was ok but it was too greasy.
After dinner we went to Lan Kwai Fong and had a drink at Insomnia. There was live band show but I didn't know most of the songs. I rarely listen English pop songs :P Next time I should choose a Jazz bar. Saturday night is really busy in LKF, people are playing hunting game, are they?

BOMB PLOT
Obviously the terrorists have never thought to give up taking revenge on United States and United Kingdom. They have plotted the bomb attack when everybody is not so alert. It is amazed that those suicide bombers love their race more than their lives. They planned to carry out the atrocities and give a wake up call to the world of tragedy 9/11 but nothing they can win for doing this.
The airport security measures becomes very stringent, no hand luggage, no liquids, no electrical equipment (including iPod, cameras and mobiles!). What else can we bring? It can only reduce the possibility of the jet attack, how about train, ferry or bus attacks?
May be United States should reconsider about their "Democracy" but not just declare "War on Terrorism".

PHANTOM OF THE OPERA
Watched Phantom of the Opera Musical tonight, it was excellent!! The stage effect was amazing and impressive. Phantom's deep touching voice was near perfection. I like the final scene in the cave with Raoul, Christine and The Phantom, it made my emotionally driven. It's worth to pay so much to watch this musical.
The only impection was the chandelier, it wasn't as grand as I thought. I watched the film version of POTO, the chandelier was so beautiful but this one didn't look so good. Anyway it was AWESOME!!

BUSY FRIDAY
I have been so busy at work this week!! The new staff will come to work at the end of August, that means I won't be free this month! How come my company is willing to wait for the candidate for a month? Only becoz she is also working in the comestic purchasing profession? Or she impressed the boss much during the interview? I wish she could come earlier so she can share our workload! Or give me a break!

TAKASEI + Pirates of the Caribbean

I heard many people comment that Sushi Takasei is delicious so I had dinner there tonight. We ordered "Omakasei" Sushi Fuji, "Omakasei" Sashimi, Tempura eel and spiral shells. The toro sashmi and sea urchin are soooo fresh and delicious!! The toro was just like melting in my mouth!! O(≧∇≦)O But the things that I don't like is the waitness were too attentive and they kept their eyes on their customers so it made me feel uneasy. I felt like being monitored.
After dinner going to watch Pirates of the Caribbean 2, I had a high expection on it but I think the 1st one was better than this one. I'm slightly disappointed with the sequel. The acting was good but the story wasn't outstanding, it was tolerable. I like the actors more than the film. Overall, it is worth seeing. I do looking foward to seeing the 3rd one and hopefully it would be better.

FAREWELL
Had a Farewell + Birthday dinner with friends at Shooter. My friend is going back to Holland on Thursday... Really don't want her to leave... I was quite shocked to know she is going to leave but Holland is her home, Hong Kong is only a 2nd home for her. I don't like to say goodbye, it seems that we can never see again to say goodbye. Better to say "A Bientot"? Yeh I believe I will see her soon.

DINNER AT KYOZASA
Dinner at Kyozasa with Japanese colleagues. I always have meal at Ashley Road but I didn't realise there is a traditional "Izakaya" (Japanese casual restaurant). It doesn't look like those Hong Kong style Izakaya. Most of the customers were Japanese, the boss is Japanese and there is a friendly Japanese staff.
We ordered a lot of food and I can't remember all what we ate. Food that impressed me were the "tsukemono" (pickles), potatoes with beef, green soybeans and the smoke sliced cow tongues. It's a perfect match to drink beer and eat soybeans! I also tried to eat "nattou maki" (fermented soybean rolls), it was quite good!! I remember last time when I ate nattou in Japan, it was so smelly and I felt sick of it. But this nattou maki weren't smelly. I can't say I like it but it's good to have a try.

DINNER AT UOYA ICCHO

Celebrating friend's birthday at Uoya Iccho Japanese restaurant. There were no birthday cake or presents, it was just a kinda casual dinner and gathering with old friends. I liked the Hokaido Seafood Sashimi rice, it was great!! The sashimi was so fresh! (^o^)
My friends is going to be 26 years old and seems she is going to another stage of life. Looking back to the school life, I don't think it's a far memory for me :P

KOREAN NIGHT

Dinner with colleagues at Sorabol. It's good that my Korean colleague got discount and she recommended us some delicious food. The barbecue short rips and cold noodles were tasty!! I'm loving it! :) I first tried different kind of Korean wine, they were easy to drink and tasted good. I didn't aware the alcoholicity and I got a little bit drunk. I was so dizzy and I barely walked straight after meal.
After that, we went to Korean Karaoke box. The Korean Koraoke is slightly different with the local Karaoke, it's cleaner and they had tambourine in the room! I couldn't sing Korean songs so I chose some old Chinese songs, English songs and Japanese songs. Their songs are not new and updated but it's better than nothing. I wouldn't go there if I wasn't going with my Korean Colleague. She was enjoyed tho.

Moonlight Sonata - Adagio sostenuto
Suddnely want to play this song but I haven't played piano for many years, my fingers are stiff. It's quite frustrated but I can't blame. Beethoven composed the famous Moonlight Sonata and dedicated it to his love. There are 3 movements, I like the 1st movement most. It sounds mysterious, the haunting melody is dark and whisper like.

WAYS TO CONTROL ANGER
1. Be quiet and stop talking to the one you are angry with
2. Beat up a pillow because the pillow can't get hurt
3. Play sports
4. Talk to someone you can trust
5. Eat as much as you can (I don't suggest girls do this or you would regret!)
6. Think good thoughts
7. Listen music
8. Go to sleep

SUPERMAN RETURNS
Watching SUPERMAN RETURNS tonight, I think this film is ok. I'm not superman fans and I have never watched the old superman films so I don't know the background of the story. I think the plot is a bit weak and it's got a slow start. But I like the CG and specialy effects especially when superman flying around. And I like the sence that superman brought the plane down in the Baseball Stadium and he was on the screen smiling. Overall, it's ok, but nothing to get to excited about. There are not much action too see and the ending is predictable. But it's worth to watch the CG and superman!

17 Things Women Love, But Men Hate
Just read an article about what things women love but men hate. I extract some points and I think they are very interesting.
-
1. Bathroom crap
I didn't know Men hate bathroom stuff but women really enjoy using those stuff like scrub exfoliant, bath salts, masks... and they spend much more time in bathroom than men. It's crap for men but not for women. If you ask why I spend long time in bathroom, my answer is still taking shower!
2. Shopping
Men get annoyed of shopping with women coz they are not interested to shop women stuff. But what if men shop around men stuff like electronic goods, models, computer stuff? But clever as men, they won't take their gals to shop those things.
4. Sleepovers
Men complain that women sleep on their arms, squirm, rob their perfectly good night's sleep and make them waking up with numbness and red-eyed but why men never complain about their snores?
5. Crying
Guys prefer not to cry, they want to be a tough strong men and they hate to be sissy. But nowadays seems men are more emotional than women. C Ronaldo cried in the pitch but many women think he is so cute and sexy. (I don't think he is cute or sexy tho).
7. Shoes
It's true that women place so much stock in footwear but 1-2 pairs of sneakers and dress shoes are enough for men. Men never understand different shoes fit in different occasions.
10. Gay guys
TV shows, comics and popular gay characters can easy garner impressive female followings. Men think women are fascinated. Brokeback Mountain is gross? I don't think so!
11. Flowers and chocolate
Women like to receive flowers and chocolates but why men hate them? Becoz they hate to send this things regularly to women! Isn't it right?
13. Enrique Iglesias & Justin Timberlake
I think men are not really hate Enrique & Justin, they just hate pretty boys. It's kind of jealous! If you were Enrique, would you hate Justin?
15. Soap operas
I don't know any man who like soap operas or like to discuss about soap operas. But women do really like to discuss about soap operas duing lunch time and break time. You may feel like you are left alone and you are a weirdo if you don't know any soap operas or entertainment news. But I can understand how crazy man would be if he dated a soap opears fans.

BRIGHT MOON
Strolling on the street and looking at the sky, I found a bright moon!! When I got back home and checked the Chinese calendar, it's 14th already! That's why the moon is so round and bright. It reminds me of Mid-Autumn Festival but we have to wait until October. Why it's so late? I miss the strawberry flavour Ice moon cake!

A BUSY SATURDAY
Went to Imformatics to get some information for Top-Up Degree. Unversity of Portsmouth offers the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Business Adminintration programme and it only needs 2 years to finish. But this is a very intersive programme and I will lose all my free time once I take it. Also it's very expensive. It costs about $11,000!! I don't think it worths for it and I don't want to loan from the government. It's a headache to think about study. I'm still hestitating and not sure what to do.
My Japanese teaching is leaving Hong Kong soon and we had dinner with her at a Thai Restaurant. I think the food was too spicy for her and she didn't really like the Tom Yam Kung soup. It's ok for me though I can't eat too spicy. I feel like recently I eat Thai food too often and I'm a little bit bored with it :P So far the food is quite good.

After dinner I went for Karaoke with other friends. This friend is also leaving Hong Kong soon so we farewelled to her. I didn't sing much at Karaoke, I think I didn't sing more than 5 songs in 8 hours! We mainly played dice games, card games and drank beer. I was too dizzy and I fell asleep when the game for Germany and Portugal was started. It's good that Germany won Portugal! I'm happy for it :)

LAZINESS
I must confess I'm lazy. I can do sport reguarly, I can cook, I can study, I can work hard but it's just laziness that stops me. May be laziness is an infectious disease and I am so unlucky to be infected. How to heal my laziness? Or may be I should think Being Lazy = Enjoying my life. Does it make better to think like that? :P

CONTINUING EDUCATION
I'm quite perplexed of applying the continuing education. I hate the education system and the common practice in Hong Kong. Most of the employees only care of how many certificates you have or see how good your qualification is. They neglect the real performance of the candidates. Certificate is only a paper, what you learn is in your brain but not only proven by the paper.
I really want to study what I want but I don't want to spend 4 years or more to get a degree. I found a Top up Degree course from Unversity in Australia and it only needs 2 years to finish. It's quite attractive but the programme is Business Adminstration, frankly I'm not really interested in it. But it's a fastest way to get a degree and after that I can do what I want. But seems the application deadline have been over and I have to wait for the next application date. I don't think I have much time to consider coz I have been wasting time these years. I'm sick of it!
