GREAT BIRTHDAY DINNER

Having my birthday Dinner at Culture Club Gallery. It's a small restaurant + Gallery in Central. This restaurant mainly serves Italain food but they don't have many choices. They have 3 sets in menu so we 3 people just chose those 3 sets and shared the food.

We ordered a white wine first, drank a bit and relaxed. Then we had duck chest salad, black truffle parma ham sandwich with scrambled eggs and mushroom spaghetti. The food was great!!

Then we had German Cheese Cake, Blue Berry Cheese Cake and Ice-cream for dessert. I like the Blue Berry Cheese Cake most. The others were okay.

The restaurant is quite special, they are also a gallery and they also have some cultural activities inside. When we were having dinner, there was Belly Dance class and some women danced and had fun together.

After dinner, we suddenly wanted to eat oysters so we just walked to Oysterman and ordered some Oysters :D We had Irish, Pearl Blanc, Fine de Clair and Tasmania. The oysters were so frensh and delicious!! It was a great night and I had very good time and nice dinner!!

ENGLAND LOST!!!

England failed to qualify for Euro 2008!!! I can't believe!! :( McClaren sucks!! He's CRAP!! What a shame that there are too many injured players and Owen can't help to win over the game :( There is no meaning to watch Euro Champion without England. Sigh...

MY BIRTHDAY xxx I LOVE AGNÈS B!

Happy Birthday to myself :D Growing older again!! Time runs so fast! But I believe I am still young :D

When I was small, I used to think birthday is a big day but now I feel like it's nothing special. Just don't like to count how old I am :P It's just a normal day for me, still have to work and take French lesson. Afterwards having dinner at a Japanese Restaurant and then walked around. Then we went to Ned Kelly's to have a drink and enjoyed some live Jazz music. I haven't been to Ned Kelly's for a while and it's kinda relaxing whenever I go there.

Got a Agnès B ring and necklace for birthday :) So GREAT!! Thank you so much :) I love them a lot!! I'm soooo HAPPY :)

INT'L MUAY THAI I-1 SUPER FIGHTS

Watching the International Muay Thai I-1 Super Fights tonight. It is the 1st time that I watched Thai boxing in live. I'm not so into watching Thai boxing, I think it's more fun to play than watching.

One of my trainer represented our boxing club to fight and he won. I don't know any rules of kickboxing so I had no idea how my trainer K.O. the other player :P It's so different for fighting the game and doing for keeping fit!! His punches and kicks are so fast and strong!! Not like how he played with us during the lesson!! I think I would definately die if he punched me hardly!! :D

SHOPPING & CLUBBLING

Went shopping again today. Wanna buy something for myself and do early X'mas shopping. We finished our mission and bought what we needed in half day!! :D Then I bought someone for myself again :P I bought a nice scarf, a hair clip and a ring. I wanted to buy a mobile but it was out of stock!! How come? It makes me want it even more!! Can't wait for it!!

Then we had dinner at a new opened Japanese resturant in TST. They have 20% off promotion! The food was great! I like the sashimi cold udon most!! Would like to go there again soon!!

After dinner, we walked around and then had a drink at Knutsford. Chit chatted until 11.30pm, my friend went home and I went to LKF to meet my cousin and his friend. My cousin asked me to go clubbing many times but I was too busy. This time I can't turn him down again :P We waited for K and her friend but they were late!! We just stood there and waited for them for 45mins!! Hei complained that he hated to wait even if she was a hot pretty girl but K isn't hot LOL So mean :D He said he would never ask K out again LOL

We went to SUGAR, had drink and dance together. Hei usually brags how he attracts girls in the club but I couldn't see this!! Obviously he and his friend didn't fit in it LOL They didn't dance or drink much!! :D Seems they didn't feel comfortable in the club.

At around 2am, we were dancing and suddenly the music was stopped and the light was turned on coz the police came to check the club to see if there were underage teens or druggies. It ruined our mood but it was good to see people's faces clearly :D What surprised me is I saw 2 familiar faces!! My friends were also in the club!! Darn!! I didn't want to meet them there!! I knew they often hang out in LKF but I didn't know they went to SUGAR much. Kinda sucks to imagine how they chat girls up and dance with the girls LOL

Hei and his friend left at around 3am and then me, K and her friend went to another club to join another friend. We went to VOLAR to dance for a while and then went home. K likes SUGAR more but I like VOLAR more coz I like to see the pretty things :D

CASUAL DINNER

My schedule is kinda tight and finally I managed to have dinner with my old friend. Wanna meet her since I came back from Germany but I have been too busy. We had a casual dinner at MK and we chatted and updated each other's news. She complained that her life is too routine and boring but I complained that my life is too busy :P Life is hard LOL

Walked around after dinner, I didn't plan to buy anything but then we walked into a shoes shop. It was on sale, then I bought a pair of high heels :P Actually I wanted to buy boots for winter but dunno why finally I bought something that I didn't mean to buy :P

SHOPPING

Kinda stress recently and I wanna do something to decompress myself. So I went for shopping after French lesson. Feel like haven't gone for shopping for a long time so I bought 2 jackts and 1 shirt for myself. PY bought more than me coz she had to buy some clothes for Kevin's and Mandy's wedding. What a shame she didn't buy a dress!! Everybody is expecting to see her "girlish look" than her "boyish look" :D It always feel good to buy something nice for myself. Hopefully it will be a bit colder soon so I can wear my new jackets :D

BBQ @ LAMMA

Barbecued with friends at Lamma Island today. I sometimes go to Lamma but this is the first time that I barbecued there. The BBQ place is just next to the sea and the view is excellent!! It's worth to walk far away to there.

The weather was so fine for barbecue. It was a bit cold when the sun set but not too cold! I like it!!


Chris gave me some souvenirs from India, a pair of Indian style earrings and gift tags :D Merci beaucoup :) Je les aime beaucoup!

BASKETBALL TEAM GATHERING

Ar Dee and Ka Cheong came back from Hong Kong for weekend from Macau, so Ar Dee asked me to ask other friends to come out. He is now working in Venetian Hotel. Seems it's a trend to work in Macau now! There are many good offers but I think if I worked there, I would die of boring :D

We had hotpot dinner at TST, we ordered a lot of food and we were so full!! After dinner, we took ferry to Wanchai and then walked to CWB coz we needed to exercise a bit after a big dinner :P Then we met Alice, Siu Hin and Sai Yan at a bar and we had a drink there. It was fun to seem them all again!! It seems ages since the last basketball team gathering!!

We made fun of each other and we talked about Facebook. But SOMEONE among us doesn't know what it is and he even doesn't know how to use :D He is the only one who is left behind!!

BIERFERT + LKF

We have Bierfest in Hong Kong for every October and this year I really want to go coz I want to see if it's like the one in Munich. It isn't as big as I expected. There are only one small tent which can't compare with anyone in Munich!!

The atmosphere was quite good, some German wore the traditional clothes and they sang and danced inside the tent. It reminded me how Kristine taught us to sing the song in the tent when we were in Munich!! The beer mug is small, only 500ml!! Well I get used to 1 liter LOL :D I think the beer didn't taste as good as the one in Munich :P Me and Connie had some Nürnberger sausages with mashed potatos and sauerkraut. The sausages were tasty but the sauerkraut was a bit salty.

Then we went to LKF to meet some friends. We had some drinks and chitchatted at Bulldogs first and then we went to another bar "Insomnia". There was live band show and the atmosphere was great. Becoz it was Friday, the dance floor was so crowded.

We stayed there nearly 5am and then we went home. I was a little bit tipsy and when I went into the bus, I fell asleep right away and when I was awake, the bus was in Sun Po Kwong!! At least 6 stations foward!! I had to took the taxi home :P I don't think I drank a lot, only 500ml beer, 3 cocktails and 1 coroda. Maybe becoz I mixed the beer :P

I realise something tonight and I can't believe someone can trick and act like this!! It's kinda stupid and cheap!! I know sometimes you have to do some tricks to win something but it's not like that. Me and Connie learned a lesson :D

TATSU

Boss treated us a nice dinner at Tatsu coz we met the sales target for last month. We know boss like Chinese food but everytime when he comes to Hong Kong, we have Chinese cuisine so this time we chose what we like :) Boss thinks it's strange that the staffs in Tokyo wants to eat Chinese food but staffs in Hong Kong wants to eat Japanese food :D

The dinner is around $700 per head and then the chef will choose the seasonal fishes to make sashimi and sushi for us. Also we had salad, tempura and beef. The sashimi and sushi were so fresh and delicious!! I liked the sea urchin a lot!!

Seems boss has a lot of planning in his mind and he wants to expand his company faster. There will be 3 more staffs to join in this year!! 1 designer, 1 system enginer and 1 Japanese staff. My company is more like a big company but not a small firm now :D

OFFICE RELOCATION

Suddenly relocating the office today!! We knew we were going to relocate in this week but didn't know which date. It's so rush to imform us to pack and move our stuff an hour before!! Though we just move room unit 2 to unit 5 on the same floor, we had to pack and stop our work!!

Boss thinks the documents of purchasing team are top secret, so we had to move to another room and seperate with other colleagues. I don't want to move but we have no choice.

We used to have L Desk but now we have to use a smaller desk!! Darn!! I have so many stuff, where should I put?

JANICE & PATRICK'S WEDDING

Attending Janice's Wedding in the afternoon. It was my first time to attend a wedding ceremony + banquet in the afternoon!! Her wedding was rather like western style, it wasn't like Chinese banquet at night, we had buffet lunch at hotel. Interesting!!

Janice looked so beautiful and her wedding dresses were pretty!! Almost all the CDN colleagues attend her wedding, someone drank a lot of beer and got drunk!! He acted unusual, spoke something silly and loudly!! It was kinda embarrassing coz our table was the noisiest!! He complained about the work and he even said he had thought to resign!! OMG!! Hopefully he was just joking!!

After wedding, we had some drinks at Wildfire, just wanna chat and relax. I wanted to order cocktail but the drunk colleague forced me to drink beer!! It was my first beer since I came back from Germany :D Not a big glass so I can handle well :P I'm more into wine / cocktail than beer!!

LA FLEUR

Celebrated someone's birthday at La Fleur tonight. We have never been to this French restaurant, we just took a look at Openrice, read the comment and picked it. The dinner was suprisingly great!!

We mainly wanted to eat oysters so we ordered some Pearl Blanc first. They were so big and fresh!! Yummy!! I love oysteres soooo much!! The Pearl Blanc were better and cheaper than those I ate at Island Seafood & Oyster Bar before. Maybe becoz it wasn't oyster season yet last time.




The Escargots with Mashed Potato was delicious, the portion was small tho :P It tasted good!! It's perfect match for escargots and potato!!

The fired foie gras was delicious!! Not too greasy and it feels like melting in my mouth!! Eating a bite foie gras and then drinking some white wine afterwards, it's absolutely great!!

The duck's chest was ok coz the sauce wasn't good enough. It didn't match with the duck's chest much. A bit disappointing and I think it would be better with another sauce!!

We couldn't resisit the tasty creamy oysters so we ordered again :P Kinda strange to order oysters after having the main course :D But it doesn't matter!! We just ate what we liked!! The Cheery stone was ok, I'm not so into clam, oyster is better!!

The Crême brûlêe was good!! It is a kinda dessert with rich custard base topped with hard caramel. It tasted rich but not too sweet!! I liked it!! I will definately go there again for the oysters!! :D

HAK KA HUT

Dinner with Chris and Tania at Hak Ka Hut coz they wanted to eat Chinese food. Seems they like Chinese food a lot!! It has been a while since I met Tania. Finally I can arrange time to meet them both. But what a shame that my French is still like that!! When I saw Chris, all I could say was "Bonjour!" "ça va?" "Je suis fatiguée". It's kinda frustrating!! Can't I say something more or complicated? I think I really need to spend some more time on studying French!!

HALLOWEEN BASH @ OCEAN PARK

Haven't been to Ocean Park for many years!! I have been thinking to have fun there again and finally we made it this year :D We went there in the evening and it was quite crowded!! Many people dressed in Halloween costumes and the atmosphere was so good!!


We mainly wanted to visit the Haunted Houses and there are 7 haunted houses in the park. We went to the Chung Kwai's Ghost Gourd first. It wasn't allowed to take pics and videos inside the houses but even if it was allowed, I think I would be to scare to take pics!! It was so dark and spooky inside!! Some "human dressed-up ghosts" just came out to scare you in the corners or somewhere!! I was so scared and I screamed and hid behind PY and Hang's backs!! :P

We resereved the table from 6-8pm for dinner so we took the cable car to Headland and had dinner at Captain's Table. I expected the restaurant would be a bit spooky, dark and the food would look terrible but tasted good. But it was just a normal dinner. The food tasted bad!! Disappointing!!

After dinner we went into some Haunted Houses again like The Ghost Cruise, Mad Doctor's Bizarre Lab, Prison Riot... Actually I can't remember what it is inside, I know the decorations are different but for me they are just all spooky!! PY just visited 3 haunted houses and she was too scared to visit the others so she stayed outside to wait for us. Hang was so mean to leave us alone always since he knew we all were so scared. He even pushed me and Alice to die!! (Keep pushing us to step forward and move faster inside the houses and even threw me to the ghosts)

Apart from the Haunted Houses, we also visited the Aquarium and Sea Jelly Spectacular, they were impressive!! The Jelly fishes looked beautiful in different colours!!

Hang, PY and me went on some roller coasters but Alice and Finoa were scared so they waited for us. We went on The Abyss and Mine Train, I was soooo scared!! I didn't dare to open my eyes and I could only scream!! My legs felt weak afterwards!! But at least I wasn't chicken!! I was scared but I was dare to try everything!! :D

The Merry-go-round was strange!! There weren't horses but pandas!! What the hack is that? The Pandas don't match with it!! :D But it was fun to ride on it.

Overall we all had good time and it was just like a big halloween bash!! I enjoyed a lot and what a shame that we couldn't stay longer!! I feel like I'm as young as teens to play crazily!!

BECOMING JANE

A busy day for me!! Got tons of mail to reply at work, cleared up someone's mess, worked on the reports and prepared for the meeting... It's Friday!! Friday should be a relaxing day!!!

Went for the kickboxing class after work. Too tired to kick and punch but I think my skills have been improved :) Really want to join the Thailand Kickboing tour in December but I don't think I can go!! Too much work and also my colleague will have her 2 weeks honey moon vacation in December so I can't get days off!! Sigh... When is my 2 weeks vacation?

After class we went to watch "BECOMING JANE" at IFC Palace, kinda rush but we went there on time :) I had no idea of the life of Jane Austen and I thought it was a happy ending but the film doesn't end like her novels! A little bit sad tho I like this film!! The story is good and beautiful. I think James McAvoy actes quite well but the acting of Anne Hathaway isn't so good tho she is quite pretty. She tried to speak British accent but her American accent occasionally seeps in LOL Overall the chemistry is good!!

I like the way Jane eloped with Tom but what a shame that it didn't work out finally. How sad it is they seperated and many years later she met Tom and knew he has married and named his daughter Jane. Isn't it ironic?

It was already Midnight after watching movie but we didn't want to go home yet so we went to Causeway Bay to have a drink. Chitchated and then met some friends there. It was fun but I was so exhausted!!

SHOCKED AT WORK!!

This morning my manager asked me if I had time and she would like to talk something important to me. At that moment I thought she was going to tell me something about me or my assistant's job performanceBut what she said totally shocked me!! I didn't expect that!!

She has handed in the resignation letter to boss in September and she is going to leave in November!! What's wrong? I can't believe!! She said she is old and our company needs younger staffs. Also she thinks our company is expanding and she doesn't have confidence to manage this company. Really can't believe what she said!! There is no replacement or new staff yet so she will shift most of her works to me!! Oh my godness!! It's a good chance for me to learn more but it means I will be busier!! :(

CELEBRATE DAD'S BD

Celebrated dad's birthday in advance coz I'm not free next Sunday. Mom bought some delicious cakes tho dad isn't so into cakes. It doesn't matter, I like cakes :D


We had dinner at Cam Bo Thai Restaurant. We had Shrimp Sashimi, Curry Beef, Hainanese Chicken, shrimp meat balls and vegetables. It was delicious!! This is the only non Chinese restaurant that dad likes!!

After dinner, shopped around at TST and bought a handbag for my sister. She asked for birthday present tho it's a week earler!! Anyway I bought what she likes and it's time for me to think about what I want for my birthday :D

HEN NIGHT

I told my friend I'm going to be a bridesmaid and he asked if I would organise a HEN NIGHT. Hen night is for woman and Bachelor Party is for men but the term "Hen night" sounds so strange for me :D Why hen? Why don't call it "Ladies night" or "Babe party"? LOL Never join any Hen night coz it's not so common here but I think it would be fun. Get drunk, get a stripper, and have fun :D LOL Isn't it cool? :D

BE A BRIDESMAID

Doing kickboxing in the afternoon, then shopped around and dinner with friends. I was planned to have fondue with someone else but other friends asked me out for dinner for talking about their wedding banquet so I had to give up the fondue.

I'm going to be a bridesmaid in their wedding so we dicussed about the flows and what to do in their wedding. Of course the most important thing is to design some "games" for the gloom and the best men!! Yay!! I'm so excited now!! Can't wait to make fun on them!! :D I'm a devil!! :D

After dinner we went to Lucky Dessert to have some delicious dessert!! I ordered a Mango jelly with ice-cream (bean curd flavour), it's kinda new style dessert and it was tasty! I liked it! :) And then we went to a bar to have some drinks and chitchatted until 3am.

The drinks there were cheap but the cocktails sucked!! I bet the bartender is not professional enough. The waitress even didn't know what Vokda Lime is. How come?!! Drinking beer would be better than cocktails but I had durian before so they said it is not good to drink something with gas after eating durian. It would make your stomach sick. Interesting!! I have never heard that :D

NO EXPECTATION!

Last time I took a few months to realise the fact and this time I just a need few days. I've learned a lesson! I usually have expectation coz I believe everything is possible. Sometimes when it happens, it will just happen. There is no need to rush or force.

But I've done enough and it's still like that so I'm not going to do anything anymore. Life is still going on so I shouldn't look back!! Just wait and grap another chance!! Hopefully I can do that... All I need is TIME!!

STANLEY MARKET

Lunch with Chris at Bangkok Thai Restaurant in CWB coz he likes Thai Food. He had Thai Beef with rice and I had Thai noodles. It was quite delicious. Then we went to Stanley to walk for a while coz he wanted to see a bit more of Hong Kong.

I haven't seen been to Stanley for a long time and it has rebuilt!! It looks better than before!! I'm impressed. What a shame it was cloudly today and it rained a bit. It would be better if it's sunny day!! :D The pics are quite gloomy becoz of the weather!

Chris had something to do afterwards so I went to MK to get back some pics from the photo shop and then went home. I came online in the middle of the night, Michele was home. So me, Connie and Michele had conference call. It has been a while to see Michele's face and hear his vocie. He is as funny as usual. I'm glad that he and Kristine like the pics and my blog :) But he still insisted I was always drunk!!

Michele asked me if I had webcam and I said no. He asked, "How come you have THOUSAND of cameras but not even 1 webcam?!!" Well good question!! Coz I only use professional cameras!! :D I don't have Macbook like him so maybe he should send me his Macbook!! :D

COUSIN'S WEDDING

My cousin had his wedding banquet in Langham Hotel! More than 400 guests were there!! Wow!! The decoration and design in Langham hotel was great!! And the food was good too!! It was fun to see the video of how my cousin playing the games before picking up the bride.

My sister said whenever she joins a wedding, it makes her want to get married soon. Haha! I think she is growing old now so she wants to marry as soon as she can :D Well I do imagine my future wedding but I never feel like I want to get married soon. Maybe I'm still young :D hehe

BUSY & ZONKED OUT!

I'm zonked out!! Doing kickboxing twice a week + French lessons + busy work really tire me out!! Since I have come back from Germany, I don't have enough rest... I think I need another vacation!! :D

My famaily wants to go travelling in November and they are thinking to travel to CHINA!! May be Huang Shan or Shanghai. Huang Shan seems nice and it's good for hiking but I'm not sure if I can travel with them... They will join the tour and I don't like that... I would be happier with other destinations :D

DAN RYAN'S + NITESHOT

Going to TST with friends today. We wanted to try our DSLR cameras and get in The Doulos (world's oldest active ocean-faring passenger ship, which is used as a floating bookfair) but becoz it was last day, there were too many people queuing up so we just took few pics at the Harbour city.

Then shopped around and had a late afternoon tea at Haggan daz. I love the German Cheese Cake and ice-cream. Strange that I never had Cheese cake in Germany :P

Afterwards we had dinner at Dan Ryan's to celebrate one of our friend's birthday. We ordered a lot of food!! We had Appetizer Combo, Grilled Salmon Caesar, Lasagna, Rib & Chicken Combo and Cioppino! Too much for 5 people tho we could finish all!! :D

And then we took few nightshots for Victoria Habour, I didn't bring my tripod so some pics are blurry becoz of hand shaking. Seems that Taff's Nikon's better than my Canon by looking at the pics from the camera screen. Dunno yet tho, need to see the pics from the Computer to compare.

BACK TO REALITY

Coming back home at around 11pm last night and then started to work today... It's hard!! I didn't feel like working today!! Give me back my holiday...

My colleagues said I look at bit slimmer :D Well I ate a lot already!! Maybe the food in Germany didn't fit me :P

Kinda busy with work becoz someone couldn't follow up all my stuff and I have to do it by myself when I come back. Also my manager assigned me more workload!! Oh no!! When can she promote me?

DAY 12 MUNICH

This is our last day in Munich. We woke up at 9.30am. Michele and Kristine went to work already. We had shower and then went out to the supermarket to buy some sausages and leberwursts (goose liver for bread) and snacks. I bought nearly 30 Euro Stuff. Kinda crazy but I really like the German sausages, taste so good!!


Then we went to Michele and Dirk’s office to have lunch with them. It’s the last chance for us to spend time together. Michele worried if we were able to go to his office so he wrote down the way for us last night. But we got off the tram too early so we had to walk to Karlsplatz. We followed the tram way and took the subway to their office. Finally we arrived on time!! Cool!! :D

They took us to have pizza. They said in Germany people eat one pizza!! I didn’t really believe but Michele and Dirk and other people can really eat all!! Michele and Dirk even said they could eat two!! Unbelievable!! I shared one with Connie and we were full already.

After lunch we went to their office again to get back Connie’s iPod. It’s strange that they don’t turn on the light and air conditioner at work. It was dark!! Michele said it was ok though. I think Germany is doing quite well to protect the environment and save the energy. They use less plastic bag and their government encourages them to recycle stuff. It’s good to do that!!

Then we had to say goodbye to them. It was really sad and I didn’t want to leave. My vacation is ended so fast!! I enjoyed my trip in Germany and I’m happy that I have known them!! They are so kind to show us around and take care of us. I feel home in Germany. We become real friends and it’s a very good experience for me. I see a different Munich, it’s not what I can see if I join the tour or go by myself. I love Munich, I love the people, I love the BEER!! :D Hopefully we can meet again soon.

Though I don’t like to say goodbye, we still had to leave. We spent 2 hours to do our final shopping in Munich centre. I bought 2 pairs of Birkenstock and they only cost 100 Euro in total!! And I also bought a 1 Liter beer glass and postcards. Then we went back to Michele’s home to pack our stuff. I hardly put all my stuff into my suitcase!! My luggage was 27kg and I had extra 3 hand carries! It was a hard way for us to carry drag our stuff to airport!! One of my suitcase wheel was broken and I had to drag it like dragging a big stone. Dirk was right!! It was so darn heavy like a stone!! :P

Goodbye Germany… I wish I could see them again soon no matter we meet in Hong Kong or Europe. It was a great fun and I will miss them all. Can’t believe time runs so fast!! Remember the first day we were a bit unfamiliar with each other but now I feel like we know each other quite well. We make fun on each other and have really good time. I love Germany!! :D
