Once again Johnny Depp + Tim Burton Rocks!! An amazing musical!! The story was predictable and a bit bloody but the songs were great!! Johnny Depp sings so well!! I had no idea Johnny Depp could sing! You learn something new every day.
Sweeney Todd is a story that has been told over and over and with each new version it seems to drift further from what is believed to be a true story.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Don't stick those 2 Thumbs up too high though, Sweeney may just cut them off.

Yes, there are many versions of this story, various TV dramas, other films etc.
I far as I know it's all based on a real barber who killed his customers with a trick chair and trapdoor and gave the meat to a pie shop.
See how bad a hairdressr can be? And you complained for a month when your fringe was cut too short.; -)
