FAREWELL

Had a Farewell + Birthday dinner with friends at Shooter. My friend is going back to Holland on Thursday... Really don't want her to leave... I was quite shocked to know she is going to leave but Holland is her home, Hong Kong is only a 2nd home for her. I don't like to say goodbye, it seems that we can never see again to say goodbye. Better to say "A Bientot"? Yeh I believe I will see her soon.

DINNER AT KYOZASA

Dinner at Kyozasa with Japanese colleagues. I always have meal at Ashley Road but I didn't realise there is a traditional "Izakaya" (Japanese casual restaurant). It doesn't look like those Hong Kong style Izakaya. Most of the customers were Japanese, the boss is Japanese and there is a friendly Japanese staff.

We ordered a lot of food and I can't remember all what we ate. Food that impressed me were the "tsukemono" (pickles), potatoes with beef, green soybeans and the smoke sliced cow tongues. It's a perfect match to drink beer and eat soybeans! I also tried to eat "nattou maki" (fermented soybean rolls), it was quite good!! I remember last time when I ate nattou in Japan, it was so smelly and I felt sick of it. But this nattou maki weren't smelly. I can't say I like it but it's good to have a try.

DINNER AT UOYA ICCHO

Celebrating friend's birthday at Uoya Iccho Japanese restaurant. There were no birthday cake or presents, it was just a kinda casual dinner and gathering with old friends. I liked the Hokaido Seafood Sashimi rice, it was great!! The sashimi was so fresh! (^o^)

My friends is going to be 26 years old and seems she is going to another stage of life. Looking back to the school life, I don't think it's a far memory for me :P

KOREAN NIGHT

Dinner with colleagues at Sorabol. It's good that my Korean colleague got discount and she recommended us some delicious food. The barbecue short rips and cold noodles were tasty!! I'm loving it! :) I first tried different kind of Korean wine, they were easy to drink and tasted good. I didn't aware the alcoholicity and I got a little bit drunk. I was so dizzy and I barely walked straight after meal.

After that, we went to Korean Karaoke box. The Korean Koraoke is slightly different with the local Karaoke, it's cleaner and they had tambourine in the room! I couldn't sing Korean songs so I chose some old Chinese songs, English songs and Japanese songs. Their songs are not new and updated but it's better than nothing. I wouldn't go there if I wasn't going with my Korean Colleague. She was enjoyed tho.

Moonlight Sonata - Adagio sostenuto

Suddnely want to play this song but I haven't played piano for many years, my fingers are stiff. It's quite frustrated but I can't blame.

Beethoven composed the famous Moonlight Sonata and dedicated it to his love. There are 3 movements, I like the 1st movement most. It sounds mysterious, the haunting melody is dark and whisper like.

WAYS TO CONTROL ANGER

1. Be quiet and stop talking to the one you are angry with
2. Beat up a pillow because the pillow can't get hurt
3. Play sports
4. Talk to someone you can trust
5. Eat as much as you can (I don't suggest girls do this or you would regret!)
6. Think good thoughts
7. Listen music
8. Go to sleep

SUPERMAN RETURNS

Watching SUPERMAN RETURNS tonight, I think this film is ok. I'm not superman fans and I have never watched the old superman films so I don't know the background of the story. I think the plot is a bit weak and it's got a slow start. But I like the CG and specialy effects especially when superman flying around. And I like the sence that superman brought the plane down in the Baseball Stadium and he was on the screen smiling.

Overall, it's ok, but nothing to get to excited about. There are not much action too see and the ending is predictable. But it's worth to watch the CG and superman!

17 Things Women Love, But Men Hate

Just read an article about what things women love but men hate. I extract some points and I think they are very interesting.
-
1. Bathroom crap
I didn't know Men hate bathroom stuff but women really enjoy using those stuff like scrub exfoliant, bath salts, masks... and they spend much more time in bathroom than men. It's crap for men but not for women. If you ask why I spend long time in bathroom, my answer is still taking shower!

2. Shopping
Men get annoyed of shopping with women coz they are not interested to shop women stuff. But what if men shop around men stuff like electronic goods, models, computer stuff? But clever as men, they won't take their gals to shop those things.

4. Sleepovers
Men complain that women sleep on their arms, squirm, rob their perfectly good night's sleep and make them waking up with numbness and red-eyed but why men never complain about their snores?

5. Crying
Guys prefer not to cry, they want to be a tough strong men and they hate to be sissy. But nowadays seems men are more emotional than women. C Ronaldo cried in the pitch but many women think he is so cute and sexy. (I don't think he is cute or sexy tho).

7. Shoes
It's true that women place so much stock in footwear but 1-2 pairs of sneakers and dress shoes are enough for men. Men never understand different shoes fit in different occasions.

10. Gay guys
TV shows, comics and popular gay characters can easy garner impressive female followings. Men think women are fascinated. Brokeback Mountain is gross? I don't think so!

11. Flowers and chocolate
Women like to receive flowers and chocolates but why men hate them? Becoz they hate to send this things regularly to women! Isn't it right?

13. Enrique Iglesias & Justin Timberlake
I think men are not really hate Enrique & Justin, they just hate pretty boys. It's kind of jealous! If you were Enrique, would you hate Justin?

15. Soap operas
I don't know any man who like soap operas or like to discuss about soap operas. But women do really like to discuss about soap operas duing lunch time and break time. You may feel like you are left alone and you are a weirdo if you don't know any soap operas or entertainment news. But I can understand how crazy man would be if he dated a soap opears fans.

BRIGHT MOON

Strolling on the street and looking at the sky, I found a bright moon!! When I got back home and checked the Chinese calendar, it's 14th already! That's why the moon is so round and bright. It reminds me of Mid-Autumn Festival but we have to wait until October. Why it's so late? I miss the strawberry flavour Ice moon cake!

A BUSY SATURDAY

Went to Imformatics to get some information for Top-Up Degree. Unversity of Portsmouth offers the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Business Adminintration programme and it only needs 2 years to finish. But this is a very intersive programme and I will lose all my free time once I take it. Also it's very expensive. It costs about $11,000!! I don't think it worths for it and I don't want to loan from the government. It's a headache to think about study. I'm still hestitating and not sure what to do.

My Japanese teaching is leaving Hong Kong soon and we had dinner with her at a Thai Restaurant. I think the food was too spicy for her and she didn't really like the Tom Yam Kung soup. It's ok for me though I can't eat too spicy. I feel like recently I eat Thai food too often and I'm a little bit bored with it :P So far the food is quite good.

After dinner I went for Karaoke with other friends. This friend is also leaving Hong Kong soon so we farewelled to her. I didn't sing much at Karaoke, I think I didn't sing more than 5 songs in 8 hours! We mainly played dice games, card games and drank beer. I was too dizzy and I fell asleep when the game for Germany and Portugal was started. It's good that Germany won Portugal! I'm happy for it :)

LAZINESS

I must confess I'm lazy. I can do sport reguarly, I can cook, I can study, I can work hard but it's just laziness that stops me. May be laziness is an infectious disease and I am so unlucky to be infected. How to heal my laziness? Or may be I should think Being Lazy = Enjoying my life. Does it make better to think like that? :P

CONTINUING EDUCATION

I'm quite perplexed of applying the continuing education. I hate the education system and the common practice in Hong Kong. Most of the employees only care of how many certificates you have or see how good your qualification is. They neglect the real performance of the candidates. Certificate is only a paper, what you learn is in your brain but not only proven by the paper.

I really want to study what I want but I don't want to spend 4 years or more to get a degree. I found a Top up Degree course from Unversity in Australia and it only needs 2 years to finish. It's quite attractive but the programme is Business Adminstration, frankly I'm not really interested in it. But it's a fastest way to get a degree and after that I can do what I want. But seems the application deadline have been over and I have to wait for the next application date. I don't think I have much time to consider coz I have been wasting time these years. I'm sick of it!

ENGLAND 1 PORTUGAL 3 (PK)

England doesn't deserve to lose!!! They played so well though Beckham limped off and Rooney was sent off in the 2nd half. It's an penalty anogy for England, why they usually have been kicked out of major championships by penalty shoot out? :( How can they break the curse? It's really sad to seeing them go home! I thought at least they could go to the final!!

BOAT TRIP@SAI KUNG

I went for boat trip today. The weather was quite well and there was a shower in the afternoon. Luckily it didn't last too long. We assembled at Sai Kung Pier and then took the boat to a small beach. The beach was small but quite clean.

It was so fun to play with the doggies, they looked so cute when they were swimming and looking for their masters. I didn't know some dogs wouldn't like swimming and they just rolled over the sand lol So funny!
