England doesn't deserve to lose!!! They played so well though Beckham limped off and Rooney was sent off in the 2nd half. It's an penalty anogy for England, why they usually have been kicked out of major championships by penalty shoot out? :( How can they break the curse? It's really sad to seeing them go home! I thought at least they could go to the final!!

I thought we played well too, particularly when we were reduced to ten men. It was as if any fear of losing was lifted because 10 men are expected to lose against 11. We played with more freedom and looked the most likely to score for the remainder of the game.
Losing in a penalty shoot out isn't really losing anyway. I wish there was a better way to decide a drawn game though because it seems to be more luck than skill.
David Beckham resigned as captain too. What a sad couple of days. :-(
There is an upside to all this of course, no more Sven! :-D
